I am sorry but I think the idea of disbanding the Trust is ridiculous-legal documents and agreements are in place that will take many many hours to re-do again.
The way that I see it ST holders are definately members of the Trust free of charge.
Non ST holders can pay £5 to become a member of the trust-with voting rights??????
The members appoint a Board of Directors in number from say 6 to 12.
Either the Board or the Members appoint a Chairman-I believe the members but I can be corrected_C Hill Tracey Lags??????
The Chairman has to be accepted onto the Board of OA(2014)AFC Ltd and invited to Board meetings
Just because 1 buffoon has now moved away from representing the Fans to become a fulltime Board member taking upon himself all that that entails does not make the position a 40 hours per week duty that is only suitable for retired people. The JOB is to represent the Fans and put across their opinions or to go and find out their opinions and then come back and report it.
Do not think that it will be an easy job to completely form a new body with no shares and no entitlements!
As i understand it, members vote all directorships, including chairperson. But only directors can stand as chairperson. I could be wrong and will check this out at the meeting next week.
I also think the chairmen does not have a right to be on the board of directors. Sc and the other directors would have to vote them on. Again i could be wrong and i will also check this out. Bear with me, i'm still fairly new as i stated earlier.

I agree. The trust needs a re-think, majorly. Which is the reason i offer to join the board and offer my time. The change is happening, but slowly. We will have a new strategic plan by the next meeting next week. We have limited numbers but loads of work to be done.
And my apologies if i muddied the waters slightly. I was only co-opted in may so still getting to grips with things. In the last meeting i did ask all the directors to write down their roles within the trust and what we saw as their duties. When i have them i will publish them accordingly. Not only will this tell us what everyone is doing, it will show us what skills we are lacking as a trust.

Hi lawsonness. We open twitter up to engage with exiles but if you would like to 'be at' an upcoming meeting i could try and get a skype link going or similar?

It's how it's been worded from the start. I'm not saying he doesn't represent the fans. Of course he does. He's on the board of directors communicating trust decisions etc which are a result of fans' feedback.
Jenny warburton is actually the 'fans' rep' though. The person you should go with if you have any issues or problems. I agree what your saying about his role but it it's the wording that sometimes muddies things slightly.

Thank you all for your support. It is appreciated. I think this is a time we now all need to unite as 1 and maybe playershare is a way to do that.
My apologies i haven't been around since the end of november. I do go through phases where i stay off here for a while for my own sanity but i'm always contactable via email, phone facebook. I'd like to reiterate what underdog says. No request has been made by Lee for any funds and he is the only person who can do that. Also Elokobi's financial commitment is all paid up so any money we have is set for amy further requests.
Thank you all once more!!!

I've not posted on here for a while due to recent events and i didn't want to get into giving my own opinion on the recent events. I'm proud my name has been thought of and i would be up for any challenge that benefits oafc. And i think the trust does have a part to play, just in a different way it trues to now. I am currently co-opted onto the board to deal with communication, and i think most people would agree this is slowly improving, also with the help of lookers87. (In fairness he does most of the work) people might say the comms have been non-existent the last week but we knew nothing about what was going on as a trust. Barry worked on this deal as a club director. Many people confuse barry's role as fans' rep. That isn't what he is. He is chairman and on the board of the club to make sure due diligence is done with every decision that is made and they are made with the best interests if the club are always put 1st. Now it is personal opinion if that has been dine this week with many people having differing views and i don't want to start that debate on this thread because there are numerous other threads for that.
.i am willing to get involved in any way possible to make sure the trust helps the club in the best possible way and fulfils it's mission statement on a daily basis.

Be pretty sure latics fans will be escorted out of town pretty rapid afterwards. Even royton pubs have been asked to put bouncers on.
-
I assume he's been told he won't be facing any charges over the spot fixing..?
Released from bail but investigation ongoing i think.
Lawfully you have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you are guilty. In employment law that is not the case. It is based on probability and if the club can prove he probably did it then they will be fine. The fact he's on video i would say shows he probably did it!

We are down on where we were this time last season on the pledges. Any more to give it a bit of a nudge?

No problemThree please.

Match days are no good as we wouldn't get the room and the club staff already have loads to do in preperation for the game. We are looking at ways of getting fans more engaged including holding a bi monthly fans meeting/mini forum with club staff and LJ involved.

They are due to arrive 12th december. They are limited edition with 100 available. They are already selling really quickly and rick atwood has a list. I can meet anyone at the home games with the badges and i will add your name to the list if you leave it on here with a quantity. Payment can also be made via paypal.

I'm staying calm on this one. It seems that the Trust are redefining roles, including Bazza's. If he is focusing on due diligence then a report might be enough if he needs to miss a meeting (it happens). We await to see proposals for a new structure, at which point we decide if it's fit for purpose.
That is a very fair post and i hope the majority of people can take this stance, atleast through this period of transition. All the roles are being looked at so we can use our skills appropriately and then being put into a future strategy to help mould the future of the trust.

I do yes. I have the same opinion now as i did back in april.I disagree.......he is the mouth piece of the trust is he not?
In ANY organisation that has to report back or indeed 'question' a board the message is diluted if it is given via a go between or 3rd party.....in this case the board members /co-opted members
You doth protest too much, I admire you for trying to make a difference but would you still class yourself as impartial?

Is it not key that the fans rep on the board and major 'contributor' to the Trust attends these meetings? What was the course? Surely not another charm offence to try and increase his popularity within the league circles in the hope of gaining more than 1 vote next time the league rep position comes up?
The chairman's report was sent in. Aswell as his update from the club. Not entirely sure how him missing 1 meeting to attend a course gives reason for people to start shouting off about him. And i know i'll take stick for this but i'd be right with you if he'd done something that warranted being shot at. But this? Just an excuse to have a go imo. There were 4 other board members and 2 co-opted members. The trust isn't just Barry.

We are selling a brand new pin badge for £3 each with proceeds going to playershare. The pichtures are on our facebook page www.facebook.com/playershare i can't ipload an image on here on my phone unfortunately.
-
If you look at it though, £15 didn't really make any difference to the crowd. They'll take more money having it £20 and losing a couole of hundred off the gate. Plus bot teams have to agree a price and donny might not have agreed.
-
Barry was on a course and sent apologies.
-
Donny 2-0 up
-
Any other donny related ones for tonight? Or england ones?

It was confirmed at last nights meeting the free membership offer will go ahead as soon as the club's database is up and running. We are being told this will be early in the new year. Solicitors have confirmed there will be no breaches of data protection. Nobody's data will be leaving the club a joint communication from us and the club will be released in due course with details of how you can take paet in our free offer.
-
I'm glad the Trust is going to consider the real issues that affect the club, rather than the performance of an outsourced company.
The trust will look at all the issues brought to us. It could be there is nothing that can be done from the club but we will raise it with them.
-
Don't forget tonights meeting 7pm in the o2 business suite.
The above issue will be discussed there.
