TREEEEEE-MENDOUS win. My goodness they are a poor side wtf are they doing up near the top i have no idea. Next week will be tough i'd take a point now as we have some very winnable games following. Gardner was better today (at last), and Gerrard played very well. once the new faces bed in we might be in with a reasonableshot of staying up,Rochdale suddenly looking a huge gamenow.

Don't like wishing the sack for anyone but he has to go now for me, delay would be potentially disasterous as every game now is a cup final for the Blues.

Lets hope that provides us with some talent. All about staying up - if we do i suspect next season might be quite exciting.

We do have the nucleus of a good team, i agree. We are not going to agree about Fane and Gardner clearly, not for me either for different reasons. If RW is putting faith in RG by playing him every week i don't think he is getting much back to replay that faith ..

What does Gardner bring to the team ? For me he has the ability but very very rarely shows it, and i find his workrate poor.

I think we all realize by now the team is in a battle to avoid relegation. The trick now is to turn this season around, i'm firmly of the belief that it CAN be turned round but certain things have to happen now. We have several good players in this team, i like Bryan Byrne Holloway Placide Davies I havent seen the new lad up front but it sounds like he could be good, very good. Bryan has to partner Gerrard in defence, there are no other options. MIDFIELD is a huge issue- bearing in mind i dont believe Fane and Gardner are up to it that leaves gaps to fill.If i were AL i would be looking towards a matty palmer type (yes he is very good) , before the deadline we HAVE to get a matty palmer type player into that midfield. And if i were honest i would like a LB -

BTW despite what some think i want the club i support to get back up the ladder. Do i think wellens is out of his depth? Yes. Do i think Fane and Gardner are good enough ? NO. While I agree with most of that post i don't think its too late personally. Drastic action has to be taken tho starting with the manager, hes absolutely lost, a blind man can see it. AL has to act NOW to save this season, we have decent players, but we have an utterly clueless manager. For a start Fane and Gardner have to be dropped.
