Speaking of 'Where Are They Now?', I spoke to David Beharrell's mum this week. He seems to be working in finance nowadays.

That's what I hate most about fishing.
You send your line out baited up for that 25LB chubb, and all you get back is a couple of tiddlers....
A 25lb chubb? 'kin' 'ell, where do you fish?

Glass half full again, eh?

His point is that Sheridan will relegate this side
last seasonthis seasonnext season as he is rubbish and will take the side nowhere. Even if he were to take the club up it would be bad as we would only get relegated again some time in the future, possibly when Sheridan has moved on.Nah, his point is that, despite having two extremely good seasons on the bounce under Sheridan, he'd still prefer Ronniesaurus to be our manager. Although Lord alone knows why.
-
True, but judging by their fan base, you can come from pretty much anywhere and be a 'life-long Red'.
-
I think I might start calling 'em 'Versatile United' from now on.
-
They have stuffed it up royally, haven't they?
Bit like us last season. Just hope Leeds don't go on to win like Blackpool did, although I think they will now.
-
Ouch.
Leeds have been doing that all season - looks like they're in the final.
Ouch.

Isn't arguing over who are the worst fans out of Rangers and Celtic the equivalent of arguing over who is the least funny out of Cannon & Ball?
-
did you watch the same match? leeds deserved a goal. kilkenny made some great passes. southends keeper was outstanding.
Err, did you watch the same match? They were playing Carlisle Utd.

Nothing short of victory in the Champions League for me. If that doesn't happen, then I'm afraid Shez will just have to go.
-
I cant stand anything about that
clubbusiness. Who cares if they play good football. They are at the forefront of everything that is bad about football. I know Chelsea and Liverpool are not different, but at least if they win it it will p**s united fans off.ABU!
This. So much this.

Didn't Doncaster sign 'The Plan' just as we were about to formulate it?
-
So what's he supposed to say?
"I'll be bringing in another shower of sheite for people to moan about next season."
-
If that's a summary, I'd hate to see a blow-by-blow account.
-
Sheridan will be learning lessons for longer now than he did when he was a kid if we don't sack him.
That genuinely doesn't make sense. Didn't they teach you about tenses on your NCTJ? Or did they assume you'd already mastered it at GCSE?
-
Season over.
At least we can concentrate on next season now.
-
Poor result tonight. Not helped one bit.

Yep, those that are lucky enough to get to Millwall, Southend, Bournemouth etc... have been served up a rare treat this season. Until the end of January the home performances in the main were the worst I have seen since Ritchie and served up as many 'nil' performances we did in the 'potless' years.
Some of the delights we've seen at home this season include 1-0 defeats to Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Leeds, Northampton, Bristol Rovers, Southend United and a 0-2 vs Walsall, I don't think we created a gilt-edged chance in any of those games. Followed by such stunning peformnaces from Port Vale, playing us off the park and lucky to scrape a 1-1 draw. Brighton nicking a point with 10 men. Oh and Southend beat us with 10 men.
Any worse than the 0-2 defeat to Hartlepool three seasons back? Or the 2-0 away defeat to Torquay Utd? Or the abysmal 2-0 away defeat to Brentford in the piss pouring rain?
As FMS says, there's plenty of dross there, just that the most recent ones are freshest in the memory. I think he's bang on with the frustration part of it, though. It's even more galling when you're beaten by 10-man Southend at home when you can go and thrash Leeds off the park at Elland Road.
-
Is it honestly the worst football you've seen at the club for 10 years?
I mean, really?
I simply don't believe that for a minute. And I speak as someone well used to being served up dross.

Nah, no signings before the loan window ends tomorrow.
Ah. In which case, that's about as interesting as yesterday's dishwater.
-
Soz to pour cold water on this, but Hardy is quoted in The (rarely wrong) Chron as saying it is un-likely there will be any comings or goings in the transfer window.
What, the summer transfer window?
That will make it interesting...
-
In that case I apologise. From the main stand upper it looked like the Vs.
But he should still go, yeah?
-
when Brian Talbot joined, a colleague of mine who's a Northampton fan confidently predicted he would take us down.
Heh heh. No axe to grind there, then...
Worst Ever signings?
