That's no good. How we gonna build the club's terminal decline into this thread, then?
-
I'd like one in the shape of a big eff-off owl.

"The day I become as boring as some of you whingers is the day I stop bothering with OWTB."
Which bit of the way you see yourself is entirely irrelevant to the above statement? Sorry if I missed a meeting. Must have been inspecting the aris' at close quarters again.
-
It's downwards. Ever downwards.
As you might be able to see for yourself when you take your head out of your rear end.
OK. So, if the trajectory's downwards, at what point do you see yourself becoming as boring as some of the whingers on here?
-
Nowhere near. I see myself as your conscience, dear reader.
Right you are. Any news on the trajectory, then?
-
The day I become as boring as some of you whingers is the day I stop bothering with OWTB.
Are we past the 'tipping point' yet?
-
Bundled out again at home for a pitifully low score.
Wholesale changes required.

Now I'm not one to bother going over to other clubs' websites to see what the general mood is there, so I'll ask here to see if anyone else has been.
Are they all as depressing as this one?

I went there one new year's eve after injuring my knee playing football. They x-rayed it and put my leg in plaster, saying I'd fractured my patella. Went back to see the consultant on the 2nd January, who said: "What's he got that plaster on for? Get it off immediately, he's only twisted his knee."
Feckers made me miss new year's eve. I was gutted.

Simply put...as far as the commentary went on Laticsplayer, nobody once said they were singing murderer at him and unless anyone who was there states they were, it's all a load of bollocks!
I was there and they weren't singing murderer at him. It's all a load of bollocks.

Compare and contrast.
The George Inn:

The Southwark Tavern:
Quite. No contest. One's an olde worlde tourist trap selling overpriced, mediocre-quality beer, the other's a vibrant place near Borough Market that has a cheaper, broader range of better beers. I know where I'd rather go.
-
I don't know why you guys insist on meeting at the George. It's at least 50p a pint more expensive than the Southwark Tavern, which is 50 yards up the road.
-
That's pisspoor.
-
Nope. We won the toss and decided to bat.
Unfortunately, we give away two wickets as soon as we bat, because essentially our openers can't actually bat.
-
Course it's gonna get read/replied to here, isn't it?
-
Has there ever been a worse opening pair for Lancs than Horton & Croft.
2 for 2 currently.
I'd love to know what their best partnership has been this season. Five, maybe?
-
Errr, I agree with the moaner. Our midfield was lacking in imagination. What's the problem with that?
They worked hard, granted, but they didn't offer anything in the way of attacking threat. The only time we really looked purposeful was when we got the penalty, which was then taken by someone wearing a slipper.
As BucksBlue said, creativity = limited. Anyone who thinks otherwise just wasn't there.
-
Presumably the newbies will all be in place now. I think of them as like the chaff a fighter plane throws out to attract missiles.
Cannon fodder.
-
I am surprised that for the first time in years we have spoken openly about meeting points for this one.
Shhhh. If we get 'em thinking we're going to the ST, we can enjoy a quiet pint at the real meet-up.
-
Would you not be more likely to find a Milwall fan if you looked for anyone in blue?
Yep.
Another reason I'll be wearing blue this evening.
-
Me. Possibly plus one Spurs fan.

I was in there last month, not a bad pub and will give us a bit of extra time rather than going on down the the George where we’ve ended up the last few times. I have suggested it to the OASIS massive.
The George is strictly for the tourists, pricey and comparatively difficult to find.
Southwark Tavern has a good selection of beers, etc. and a large outdoor area where we can sun ourselves before the impending trip to sullen South Bermondsey.

Heh heh. I went to that game. 3-1 to us, IIRC.
