  1. It's no secret and Hardy has also confirmed it; they were informed (with prior warning) that due to a short term cash flow problem that they wouldn't be paid until next week. No big deal to any of the players and no problem with regards the financial stability of the club; this has happened before you know!!
  2. Just another thought!! How would you like these 'smart arses' to contribute??? Have you got a clear definition of what is expected of every fellow fan, I thought we paid our £300+ every season to be entertained and allow the club to manage our contribution by way of producing an acceptable product both on and off the field!! Now what is it that you'd like these 'smart arses' to do then Garcon, in fact, what is it that you do that sets your sanctimonious self apart from others?? For the record and to dampen the smell of bull:censored: around you; I knew of the players not being paid a few days ago, I also knew it was short term and they'd be paid next week. I also know a few other things, all very positive i might add, things that would suggest that we have a future for years to come I didn't or haven't posted these because it's not my place to do so!! Now as for the club's situation with the council and my knowledege of what has / is being discussed, that hasn't come from within the club, so don't take things for granted and jump to assumptions!! I started this because i feel the club should have acted quicker to put our minds at rest and add clarity to the situation, not blind depressing fear!! Now back to my point; please let the 'smart arses' know what you're doing that clearly sets you apart from the rest and I'm sure if it's worthwhile then the 'smart arses' would gladly invest some time to it!!
  3. Well someone's lying through their teeth then on half of what they confirmed
  4. Cash flow problems, they're getting paid this week's with next week's. No big deal really, ain't the first time, won't be the last!!!
  5. I'm sure what they ain't been paid this week will be in next week's package
  6. Ha ha, I was cleared of soiling the water and I was only young at the time In the words of Morrissey, 'These things take time'!! I'll keep popping on just to keep up with the conspiracy theories and over sensationalism from some and the lovely insults too Water off a duck's back to me, sleep easy, the future's bright
  7. Dear boy, Deal with the FACTS, where or when did i say a deal had been done????????? I said we have two sites that the council have offered and that we will be playing at BP until 2014!! OAFC will work with the council, they have to and have NO OTHER VIABLE OPTIONS!! I think you need to look beyond what you wanted me to have said and deal with the reality of the facts i have said!!
  8. Bloody hell Singe, when will you just get the message Corney knows all the options open, he's just refusing to sit down and discuss them at the moment, i think it's called playing hardball or just plain sulking You know damn well I'm bang on the money and you know damn well i was made aware of this a while ago!! You keep having your little snipes but i know you're going to end up with a massive amount of egg on your face. Now, this is my last comment on the matter!! Our future is secured, we will play at BP until 2014 or until the new stadium is constructed and you need to learn to separate any issues you might have with me and just consider that i might just be talking sense. I've not changed my stance from day one, i was the first to offer anything of substance and the first to try and calm the depressive and submissive mood on here. Everything I have said has been more or less confirmed by the council's statement, when Corney finally picks his dummy back up and sits down to talk then all will be clear!! End of as far as i'm concerned!!! That is until i rub yer nose in it big time when it's finally confirmed Believe!!!!!
  9. Ha ha, Simon knows ya know I'll give you a little clue!! There are two sites on offer, both have been offered previously!! Now would OMBC allow themselves to be dragged through the courts or go out of their way to 'assist' OAFC in keeping the club in the borough's confines? You know you know
  10. Quality post Singe, well thought out obviously backed up with factual evidence to support it You've either lost the plot or you need to brush up on your sarcasm skills just a tad Any announcement from Corney yet on the new stadium venture Clarity is only dangerous if you're unclear on the facts
  11. Should still just about have enough left to pay the milkman!!
  12. £2 in and fill the ground again, I've worked out that taking the season tickets into account, tonight was a success and paid for itself, assuming we'd have had less than 4000 if the £2 offer hadn't been in place! Do it again and again and let's hope we can get back to putting on a performance to hold onto at least a thousand who'd pay full whack!!
  13. Things are looking positive, all is not lost etc!! Alluded to being in a position to take 'action' against the organisations that screwed up the stadium plans etc but will need to take stock and learn from it and something about everyone working together in a positive way!! Pretty much, it's all looking good but I'm not telling anyone yet
  14. Come on Simon, you nearly gave it all away on Manchester Radio tonight, just stopped short of letting it all out!!! Tell it as it is, give us all a lift after tonight's result
  15. ....bleedin save!! Ben Amos, take a bow son, probably the greatest save this old ground has ever seen!! Probably the greatest save i've ever seen!! Probably better than Gordon Banks'!! Probably
  16. Nothing against your petitions mate, I just know that the club are in a position to make some sort of statement that will give everyone the confidence to calm down!! It's up to them to take our feelings into consideration and get it done!!
  17. Bloody hell, did i type clarify when i meant to type summarise
  18. We are staying at BP until 2014, the one off cost of the H&S certification and works is to be met by way of a loan by a third party - possibly OMBC and club funding!! We have approval from OMBC for a new site in Oldham (probably Hollinwood / Chadderton), this still needs further approval from the charities commission. We're not going bust!! We're not ground sharing!! No need for any petitions!! Corney initial reaction and communication was very knee-jerk, he should have gathered the full facts before going public!! We can all calm down, once Mr Corney decides to compile the full facts on the situation and duly let us all know!!! We can all get on with supporting the club!!
