  1. I think I can work out how you know this, but isn't pay day the last Friday of the month? Be unusual for someone to know others haven't been paid until then.

I'd expect them to get paid later this week. We are a football club who only had 1 home game in the month, prior to pay day and that home game was reduced entry fee, so the balance sheet might take longer to process. Its the summer I'm worried about- hopefully we have enough cash coming in through season tickets to pay the players, but I'd be tempted to delay the offer date until the other side of May pay day to spread the income out.

It's no secret and Hardy has also confirmed it; they were informed (with prior warning) that due to a short term cash flow problem that they wouldn't be paid until next week.

No big deal to any of the players and no problem with regards the financial stability of the club; this has happened before you know!!

  2. The smell of bull:censored: is even more overpowering than normal.

Fans who think they're in the know are always so :censored:ing clever aren't they?

Maybe, just maybe, if these smart arses really were so clever, and contributed a little more than hiding behind their keyboard spouting bull:censored:, the club might not be in the mess it's in?

    Just a thought.

    Just another thought!!

How would you like these 'smart arses' to contribute???

Have you got a clear definition of what is expected of every fellow fan, I thought we paid our £300+ every season to be entertained and allow the club to manage our contribution by way of producing an acceptable product both on and off the field!!

Now what is it that you'd like these 'smart arses' to do then Garcon, in fact, what is it that you do that sets your sanctimonious self apart from others??

For the record and to dampen the smell of bull:censored: around you; I knew of the players not being paid a few days ago, I also knew it was short term and they'd be paid next week. I also know a few other things, all very positive i might add, things that would suggest that we have a future for years to come B)

I didn't or haven't posted these because it's not my place to do so!!

Now as for the club's situation with the council and my knowledege of what has / is being discussed, that hasn't come from within the club, so don't take things for granted and jump to assumptions!!

I started this because i feel the club should have acted quicker to put our minds at rest and add clarity to the situation, not blind depressing fear!!

Now back to my point; please let the 'smart arses' know what you're doing that clearly sets you apart from the rest and I'm sure if it's worthwhile then the 'smart arses' would gladly invest some time to it!!

  3. GMR just confirmed that they have spoke to oafc and everyone has been paid and we havent sold the ground. Just people with nothing better to do than make things up. My friends, sons, brother knows a guy who once played football with someone whos lad now plays for latics, seems to have got his facts wrong!!

Well someone's lying through their teeth then on half of what they confirmed B)

  4. With all these muddied waters about, the only thing I'm predicting is an outbreak of cholera.

Ha ha, I was cleared of soiling the water and I was only young at the time

In the words of Morrissey, 'These things take time'!!

I'll keep popping on just to keep up with the conspiracy theories and over sensationalism from some and the lovely insults too :o

Water off a duck's back to me, sleep easy, the future's bright B)

  5. YEp, and that was my point. Smartz alleged rumout, which looks more like BS now, hinted that a deal had been done. Informal talks would not have resulted in anything that could have been remotely construed they we smatrz did.

I agree, not even entering a dialogue, refusing to attend meetings will not get a ground in the borough.

Sounds like Simon Corney has made up his mind.......

    Dear boy,

Deal with the FACTS, where or when did i say a deal had been done?????????

I said we have two sites that the council have offered and that we will be playing at BP until 2014!!

OAFC will work with the council, they have to and have NO OTHER VIABLE OPTIONS!!

I think you need to look beyond what you wanted me to have said and deal with the reality of the facts i have said!!

  6. How does Simon know?

At best he has been informally told, and he has not attended a meeting on Weds, and refuses to talk to them.

    MEN article

There has never been a more apt time to sign the petition

Bloody hell Singe, when will you just get the message

Corney knows all the options open, he's just refusing to sit down and discuss them at the moment, i think it's called playing hardball or just plain sulking

You know damn well I'm bang on the money and you know damn well i was made aware of this a while ago!! You keep having your little snipes but i know you're going to end up with a massive amount of egg on your face.

Now, this is my last comment on the matter!!

Our future is secured, we will play at BP until 2014 or until the new stadium is constructed and you need to learn to separate any issues you might have with me and just consider that i might just be talking sense. I've not changed my stance from day one, i was the first to offer anything of substance and the first to try and calm the depressive and submissive mood on here.

Everything I have said has been more or less confirmed by the council's statement, when Corney finally picks his dummy back up and sits down to talk then all will be clear!!

End of as far as i'm concerned!!!

That is until i rub yer nose in it big time when it's finally confirmed

    Believe!!!!!

  7. So he had a great chance to boost the masses. Nearly let it out..

“ It’s really very very difficult, but there are one or two alternatives for us to check out”

We've practically got the keys... Ahem

Ha ha, Simon knows ya know

I'll give you a little clue!!

There are two sites on offer, both have been offered previously!!

Now would OMBC allow themselves to be dragged through the courts or go out of their way to 'assist' OAFC in keeping the club in the borough's confines?

    You know you know

  8. How do you work that out?

Have you spoken to any of the businesses that have sponsored this?

    So lets "clarify".

Simon Corney will be happy, but the businesses?

Businessmen have been unhappy at the amount they have had to stump up and won't be in a rush to do it again.

Business people feel the players let the fans down.

Businesses know the next game will be back to normal.

Businesses know that it was the fans using social networks that got the attendance high, their companies names were not featured prominently enough.

I think a statement from SC might be more appropriate.

Your statements have misled people into thinking all is well with the world and we will be fine, and they should not do anything.

Dangerous game this clarifying isn't it?

All we have to go on are the two statements, by OMBC< and OAFC. Until such time as a further statements form both parties show that they are working together.

Quality post Singe, well thought out obviously backed up with factual evidence to support it

You've either lost the plot or you need to brush up on your sarcasm skills just a tad

Any announcement from Corney yet on the new stadium venture B)

Clarity is only dangerous if you're unclear on the facts

  9. £2 in and fill the ground again, I've worked out that taking the season tickets into account, tonight was a success and paid for itself, assuming we'd have had less than 4000 if the £2 offer hadn't been in place!

Do it again and again and let's hope we can get back to putting on a performance to hold onto at least a thousand who'd pay full whack!!

  10. We are staying at BP until 2014, the one off cost of the H&S certification and works is to be met by way of a loan by a third party - possibly OMBC and club funding!!

We have approval from OMBC for a new site in Oldham (probably Hollinwood / Chadderton), this still needs further approval from the charities commission.

    We're not going bust!!

    We're not ground sharing!!

    No need for any petitions!!

Corney initial reaction and communication was very knee-jerk, he should have gathered the full facts before going public!!

We can all calm down, once Mr Corney decides to compile the full facts on the situation and duly let us all know!!!

We can all get on with supporting the club!!
