  1. yea we all know its overpriced and if i couldnt afford to go i wouldnt but i wouldnt choose to instead spend my dosh on the day of a match day going to watch one of the "haves" on tv. each to their own but surely peopling staying away from their local clubs to instead go out and watch the big clubs mean that they can demand so much money from tv rights etc and in turn causes lower league clubs to slowly but consitantly rise the prices. It's a vicious cycle.

I think in the future there will be a reduction of professional clubs maybe to two pro leagues and i intend to make the most of OAFC while its here and although its as expensive as ever and we dont play anywhere like the kind of football Arsenal and the like do id much rather spend my £20 getting into BP then watching the PL giants in the pub on matchday

  2. was always a 'if we get anythin its a bonus' game!! concentrate on more winnable games i know i shouldnt say that but its true also good to see price on the score sheet.

agreed would have more chance getting points off leeds, norwich, charlton than swindon at the min. if we'd have got in half time at nil nil then it might have been a different story but take any positives and turn the attention to walsall

  3. why whenever someone posts are they immeadiatly branded a moaner or conversly a happy clapper? the OP makes a good point we cant afford to drop points regularily at home espeically to oppersition such as Yeovil.

i'm pretty sure DP wont have said "ah well its ok because we beat MK" so why should we? dissapointing result if we judge it on its merits but lets hope for a good showing at charlton

  4. so we need to get used to getting not only beat but demolished 3 nil by a poor side and relegation candidate? we might as well accept relegation now then. to be honest i dont see how you can blame the fans for berating players for these poor performances and more so for the lack of effort, these are supposedly professionals and should be able to deal with adversity yet after hartlepool when one up there was only gonna be one winner, i was hopeful the players wud put a shift in and prove me wrong but it got even worse.

it seems we have assembled a decent at best league 2 side and at the minute after failing to beat 3 poor sides at home it looks as if this could be a long hard season

  5. its about keeping your identity, the comments of the Dale fans is that although their stadium might not be much it's theirs!

i wouldnt want to have to go to Rochdale to go and watch Oldham and say we were to ground share at Boundary Park then im sure the Rochdale fans would not want to watch their team in our stadium, if this does continue out of neccessity then think all parties concerned need to tread very carefully

  6. yep seems strange to see the richie wellens appreciation society on here when i remember being berated when maintaining he was the one of the shining lights at the club when he was here a few years ago, think he was always better than league one but now needs to prove week in week out that he can be a big influence on games in the championship week in week out

  7. Good luck in the future stu

think the squabbling has been a bit over the top, i understand Rick's views just maybe not the best way to air them, being webmaster of a site like this obviously isnt going to the most difficult job in the world and someone will come in an do the job the job to a similar output that is true but whle you personally might have felt he didnt do a good job many people on here clearly did and want to thank him for his efforts and i think you know that the wording oof your posts was going to create a response were it wasnt neccessary to do so
