I’ve been fairly critical of AL up until now as, whilst the odd token gesture like a free scarf and cheaper match day prices are nice, there has been too much going wrong both on and off the pitch if rumours are to be believed. Crazy wages on poor players, the disappearance/sackings of members of staff, late payments etc don’t point towards a successful ownership. I’ve been equally critical of our transfer window this summer as we’ve not strengthened in any way.

However, if he’s to be believed here and he’s had to spend vast sums to get us out of the shite left by his predecessor, it’s no surprise that the playing side of things has had to take a back seat. It sounds as though he’s finally got us back to a place where he’s not spending money ‘catching up’ but is now able to spend in a progressive way - hopefully that includes on the pitch.

Based on this, I’m willing to be a bit patient and see what happens in the next 18 months. He’s admitted he’s made mistakes, now let’s see if he’s learned from them. We don’t have much choice but to give him our backing and if his statement is true, he’s pumped enough money in to justify that in the short term.

Unfortunately many on here keep dragging up the failures of the past.It is the future that counts and we should hope that we have learned from the past failings. There has been a big clearout at Oldham(maybe not finished yet) so now we rebuild.I have confidence Mr Lemsagam and his staff with our backing will do that.

    It isn’t one.

The bit you’ve quoted from his statement, says he has an ambition to be successful & sustainable. That’s great and it’s what I/we all want to hear.

I would however like to be convinced he has a plan - to include things like; an improvement in infrastructure; youth development; scouting talent; contract negotiating to maximise revenue from player sales; marketing; supporting OACT, that ultimately leads to achieving his/my/our ambition. The Trust can be my eyes/ears in that regard - I am not asking for or expecting commercially sensitive info to be disseminated.

Nothing he he has done (behaviour) to date would indicate he has a plan, nothing he has said (statements) include tenets of a plan and nothing the Trust have said suggests they know of one, let alone approve of it, either.

I’m neither a #realisticlad or #walktheleaguer, I’d consider myself optimistic by nature, but equally I am not satisfied with hyperbole or populist rhetoric. I’m merely asking reasoned, fair, coherent questions, that any shareholder of a business would wish to understand. The trust are shareholders. The trust represent us.

Corney had a plan-did you like that one?Mr Lemsagam has already stated it will be small steps to rebuild and he is doing that-let's show a bit a patience,in the meantime let's support the team positively and cut out the negativity.Yes there is plenty to do but it doesn't happen overnight.

All well and good but as others have said their is still little of substance

    - We have seen alot of sackings and we currently have no board of directors.

    -  We have the strange case of Tony Philliskirks suspension which is unresolved.

    - We have the very bizzarre case of Jack Byrne AL appears to say here that it is the decision of the manager yet others on here one of whom is ITK said that it was not Bunns decision.

    - He spent £3million so far alot of this was pissed up the wall on his crap frenchlads £500k was burned on Queensy. Maouche is somehow on £4k a week and still here thats 3 players wages at this level and hes seen as backup in league 2.

Regards to statements communications of plans. As far as Im concerned that stuff doesnt worry me any plans we have can stay in house, what worries is the actions that have been taken so far don't really suggest any foundations have been laid for us to build anything on.

I want this to work but we need to get the fundamentals right first.

Stop listening to hearsay. He is clearly trying to get the fundamentals right-it takes time.

If I were asked to write a generic statement on AL's behalf, I reckon I could have knocked that up. We're well rid of Corney but there's very little of any substance. It's a 'buy me a bit more time' release full of clichés.

He deserves some time but it's not hard to appease the masses.

What exactly would you like them to say?

We could have been 3 or 4 nil down at halftime, looked far better when Baxter came on. Could maybe have been in with a chance of winning if we'd gone for it and brought on Benteke but instead we hung on for a draw.

    At Forest fucking Green.

I don't see how we could have been 3 or 4 down at half time. They only had one shot in the first half as I can remember and they scored from it.

With rail tickets £50, match ticket £17, £30 for a taxi to the Ground because it was in the middle of fucking nowhere! Add to that summat to eat and a few (shite) beers I spent the best part of £150 yesterday to watch a performance like that!!

I go to a fair few away games during the season when work allows but I thought about it for a while after yesterdays game and I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I saw a victory on my travels.

My patience is wearing very thin. That was another fantastic turnout from supporters and they deserve so much better. We never even looked like we could compete yesterday never mind win at ‘Forest Green Fucking Rovers’!!

I don’t know what the fuck is going on behind the scenes at BP but If Bunn has been shafted by AL and is now working under severe financial constraints he’d be better off coming clean to the fans or even resigning as through no fault of his own his legendary status could be seriously in decline if he sticks around and fails!

Chill out mate.Me and my mates had a good day out and always do away from home whatever the result.Stop moaning.Win or lose w'ell have some booze and if we draw w'ell have some more.

  7. People on here condemn players before actually seeing them play. They condemn them for being French(You know France have a good chance of winning the World Cup). You are putting the new owner down already. If you want to condemn somebody then look in the mirror. That negativity does nothing for the club you purport to support.Try showing some positivity for a change, you are not helping the club or players by putting them down all the time.Support the players and team that's what a good fan does.

  8. I am not being negative-just realistic,

We have no real squad apart from midfielders and perhaps fullbacks.

You can only be realistic on actual results. When it comes to future predictions you are either positive or negative.I can never understand why people are not positive about their own team.We all hope that our team does well,it is a main reason why we support them. There is quality in this team and I believe we will have a good season.

There were plenty of people who predicted doom last season-I suspect Chaddy Smoker you were one of them-you were all wrong.

  9. Thought we did well to get a point today, it was a tough game and a great team effort. I think under the new rules the penalty was one of the few correct decision that miserable excuse for a referee made today. I paid a bit more attention to Klok today because I think he's a bit of an empty calorie player. He ran around closing down but put in few tackles and never did anything constructive with the ball. I'm not ready to write him off but I need to see more from him than I did today. Green, Burgess, Clarke and Ripley all very good.

He put the cross in for the goal.

  10. Funny looking back I've been watching Latics for over 40 years and 2 of the 3 best goals I've seen were scored by Simon Stainrod, his debut against Blackburn away (1979?)and home against Preston (the following year?) If only we had a player like him now crowds surely crowds would come back to BP.The other best goal was Adam Griffin's on Celebration Sunday

Co-incidentally Adam Griffin has just scored one for Altrincham in their 3-3 draw last weekend. They reckon it could be the goal of the season in their league.

Just seen it on Alty TV.it's a cracking volley but not like the one for Oldham.

  11. As it stands, dale stephans takes everything which can be classed as an attacking free kick....he generally shoots from free kicks or throws in an average cross and his corners tend to hit the first man or float out the back of the box. Who should be taking some of our set peices?

Stephans is surely tall enough to be a threat arially at them?!

I think one of the problems is that when he takes a free kick, his own team mates don't know what he is going to do.For example yesterday he took a free kick from outside the area on the left hand side and tamely hit it straight into the keepers hands when everyone was waiting at the far post and nobody else moved to try to fool the keeper into indecision.I've seen this happen many times this season included an appalling one at Southampton last week with a few minutes left we had all the big guns waiting at the far post for a good delivery and he hopeleesly blasted the ball way over the bar.

Yes I do think we have others who are just as capable,if not better at delivering good balls into the box, particularly the full backs.

  12. Sociologists might argue that perhaps the average football fan has little control over their lives, at work the boss is king, at home the wife is king but on the terraces they are the king. They pay the piper and they can call the tune. Sociologists might argue that this is why the self perceived little man may pick on an other individual and unburden the week's worth of strife they have felt.

Other people might argue that some people just like shouting at other people.

Well done mate. At last someone who sees it has it really was.
