I have read through this entire thread and fair play to Oldham fans for giving us credit.It makes a refreshing read. As for Bennett i don't think you could have afforded him anyway as we paid 200k for him and according to our ex manager he chased him all summer from Wolves. We can certainly be classed as a serious contender for promotion next season under Poyet who has transformed us in the short time he has been here.With money to burn in the summer and Poyet's eye for good players we will be up there next season. I know how you feel about your current manager and the future.Micky Adams was a complete failure for us second time around and it nearly cost us our league 1 status.Slade saved us when we looked nailed on for the drop. Well you simply don't know what your talking about.We paid 300k for him from a legue 2 club.He has made the step up with ease and could quite easily play in the championship.Go and look at his stats.Hardly any difference from Hughes yet he is only 24.

What makes me laugh though is,some of you expected a swap deal for Murray.That was never going to happen,i new that but some of you didn't.You also expected 250k for Davis,again that was never going to happen.I have no idea what we paid but you try and find a decent striker for 100k-150k.There is no way we paid more then that.Unless Murray wants to leave then as i've said before we will get at least 500k for him.

Don't know why your local rag says Murray is unsettled down here unless Micky Adams is telling us porkies.He recently squashed rumours about this by saying he has just brought a house down here and is happy.Unless someone is prepared to pay around 500k he isn't going nowhere i'm affraid or unless the rumour is true.I don't know what you value Davis but we do have some money to spend.Untill Davis has signed a contract i don't believe it.
