  1. Hi Alec 1954 We had a certain target to aim for to make sure it wouldnt look to small however we did decide since we went over our original target in less than 24 hours, that the flag size would now depend on the donations amount. So everyone who donated their money would be used for the flag and nothing else.
  2. Also please make sure you use the link that the club have used, make sure its going to the right donations page
  3. Hi everyone, its not actually a flag for the Athleticos its a flag for everyone, just we've organised it with the Trust in making it happen. We have 2 designs that at the moment we are doing a vote on, on facebook. Please let us know what you think on here or on facebook and we'll count them up. The target is to reach 610 for a 12mx10m flag however if we receive more donations than that before the cut off date we will get the biggest flag we can for the donations we receive. We are using Paypal as its the safest donations site we have found but for anyone who doesnt trust it we are working to do a cash in hand situation, however we want to organise it as safe as possible as we dont want peoples money in the wrong hands. Thanks for any donations yous have already sent, we have received close to £100 already in a few hours. Sorry i dont know how to upload photos ont this page so if anyone knows could you let me know. If not visit the Athleticos fb page to see them.
  4. Ill ring up next week and find out, if not we can just organise it to all meet outside the White Hart, im sure atleast 1 on the top road will be open before 11
  5. If you dont like the idea dont come, were not making fans we just want to ask if they want too...
  6. Cheers forgot it was early. Maybe half 11 would be ok
  7. Thats not an event? We will get behind the team, we always do, but some fans are quite attached to the Chaddy many have been in there for over 30 years, atleast a big group coming down sheepfoot to it for the last time, like most of them have probably seen. If you dont like it then dont do it, but im seeing if anyone else would like to join us
  8. Sorry but we want to do a send off and get quite a few of us walking all down Sheepfoot heading down to the Chaddy for the last time. First thing we've organised so dont know what you mean by 'why does every little thing have to be a planned event'
  9. A few of us from the Atheticos are planning a march down to the ground against Peterborough from the White Hart pub down to the Chaddy turnstyles, were thinking round 2, half 2 we'll set off down sheepfoot
  10. The stand holds 3500 so theyve sectioned off some seats but i recon if we sell 3000 quick theyll open them seats up then see how quickly we sell them, possibly might get half of the seated end. They wont risk a bury/stockport match again surely
  11. There are many all seater grounds in the country who have the same rules, however many of them allow a section of supporters to stand during the game, as cardiff did a review of it, and deemed it safe, however its more the fact the group has many young members that they seem to target us, than when boro came and they never attempted to get them to sit, if its a rule then it should be applied to all supporters thats all were saying, would the rules change if the group had 50 adults?
  12. We understand they have a job to do, and we made a deal when it dies out or weve been stood up for 10 mins then we sit down for a bit and saturday we did that all match, however tonight in the first half we were being bother every 2 mins, and getting told to sit down for corners and attacks when we wanted to start singing to hype the players up
  13. A few of the songs wernt all from the group, however they wernt directed at the stewards, more the club to make a decision for us, as many of us have been asking the club through the summer to give us a section that works for everyone and been ignored. we got asked to create an atmosphere and in the second half we proved that we arnt causing any trouble and that we stuck to our intentions of just creating an atmosphere, we tried to be very considerate of all supporters who may not want the drum next to them or people stood infront of them. We have just started the group from crawley last season and its still a working progress, nothing happens over night and we hope you can all see what were trying to create, were not all kids and all we want to do is to encourage all supporters who like to sing to be able to enjoy the match even if the football isnt the best
  14. Hi everyone, After the club said that they would like to create some atmosphere again, we decided to bring back the singing group Athleticos. We realised that the last 5 games were such an improvement from the last few season and since then a few of us have come together to bring it back. Over the summer many of us have put a lot of time and effort into improving it with some new flags, scarves, and a banner, which we hope would bring to back some more colour into the stands. The idea of the group is to a very organised singing group which for 90 minutes of the match will put on a great show, whether were loosing or winning we will always keep singing. As many of you know on here we did try to start this group 2 seasons ago and our intentions were miscalculated, however now we have a few more older members who have managed to get hold of the club who now understand what we are trying to do. I feel like have to say this from last time but to make it clear, that our group have never and will never encourage any bad behaviour inside or outside the stadiums. We are very proud that we have a wide group age which we hope will encourage Oldham supporters of all ages who come to create some atmosphere feel comfortable joining in. Id be happy to answer any questions anyone might have about the group, or if anyone would like to join if you could inbox me and I can give you a bit more information on how you how you can join Thank you Ryan
  15. the only thing ive been bothered about lately is the stewards and the way we've been treated in the rocky, but other people suggested them, when i said we should do something about it, i understand a march is a big thing and it wouldnt work, but on facebook a few people created it
  16. were not protesting, it was a suggestion by someone and got told to put it on here, ive changed it now is to get everyone to stand up in the rocky or whoever else is going to join in, thought it was a bit much a march + we wouldnt have enough people, my idea is just to get everyone to stand up and not sit down
  17. were just doing turn around in the stadium against it, so no march, it was just an idea to be herd
  18. like ive said, its not going to be alot of people, but its for the people that are tired of not being listened too by the club...
  19. its not going to be a massive protest i understand, but its just for the few of us that ive tried to contact the club, and tried to give ideas or ask for help and never had a response, and been treated like crap in the stadium
  20. ive emailed barry owen a number of times, and had no reply from him... us down the rocky do our best to get behind the lads every game, we sing even if were not winning, no matter what we sing even if noone else will, we always get behind the players and were always behind dickov, its just a protest to show were not happy about not being listened too
  21. if you dont sit in the rocky about the stewards then you wont know what were talking about, on numourous occasions fans have been thrown out of a game for standing up... if you dont want to protest i understand, but we want to be listened too in the rocky, because we're sick of being ordered about
  22. well its the fact were never listened too as fans... we pay for our season tickets every season and still the club do nothing to listen to us, all we want is to be listened too, whether its the stadium, stewards or the club... i think everyone would like a say in how the club is run, and a bit more information on what there actually doing
  23. Hi guys, everyone who is going to the preston game at home on saturday, we are doing a protest about the attitude of some of the stewards at boundary park, and about the club not listening to us, we have set a number of emails to the club, about the banner, and about sheffield wednesday trying to take a drum to away games and we have received nothing back from it, also someone in the rochdale road end against Charlton got a choice to either sit down or be chucked out, for standing up, also we would like to push out about the fact of the 3 stands we still have, and the club not doing anything about it, hope you can all join us in the protest, our idea is to walk down from the town centre like the previous protest, or meet us outside the ground where the protest will carry on through the game, we would like as many people to join us on this, we are sick of not being listened too, being treated like :censored: by stewards, and paying so much a season for a season ticket and another offer like the 'golden ticket' to come in... we make the effort every week to come, we should have our say. anyone you know that are coming to the game saturday let them know, tag oldham fans in this message and let as many people know as we can. we are doing a march from the Town hall at 1.15 and walking down to the club shop, i know its short notice, but if you can make it, that will be brilliant, also we are looking into turning around before kick off, and turning our backs to the pitch, if you can make the march it will be brilliant, hope you can all make it. Thanks
