  1. Damn! :disappointed:

It seems the clubs offers have failed once again.

    I hate Oldham fans

It could be just that people can't afford it this year due to having hours cut down or losing jobs completely, I was wondering how many tickets had been sold too but would draw the line at saying "I hate Oldham fans".......be prepared!

I was working at Manchester Victoria last night and talked to a few British Transport Police and they had lots of trouble from Bolton and Oldham fans especially people trying to get on the last trains to Rochdale and Huddersfield .

Rubbish....stirred up by GMP....Not that I am disrespectful to law and order but the way the GMP deals with events...( I was going to say large events but it was the masters!! ).....just isn't good enough. I for one am absolutely dreading the world cup coming to us in 2012....if we are successful that is.

well said claret sheep! I think the Burnley fans were great last night. Brilliant atmosphere during the blackburn game.

We werent involved in the trouble, FACT!

As for where this poster is talking from........sure I dropped the kids off in the pool!!

  3. Certain members were promoting violence at football games as an entertaining way to spend a day as opposed to the stupid and childish act it really is.

Anyone who does so in the future will be banned outright and no correspondence will be entered into.

In fact there have been 2 threads removed......mine- Burnley behaviour and another one whos name i forget...I was plastered  about the train.

  4. I know, attacking people in replica kits, Beardy got smacked in the bogs, my mate nearly got arrested for pulling Burnlay thugs off a Latics fan and some cocky little :censored: thought he's gob off at me in the bogs when he enquired as to 'what the fook, I was looking at' I replied he had two seconds to get the hell out of my face before I would make him call for his mummy, he immediately apologised and said he wanted no trouble... KNOB!

Yes I went to the lttle boys room with beardy just in case.....shouldnt have to do that but........I had to have a little chuckle to myself though because the bloke...(in his 40s) was about 5' 2"

I was stuck on the train on platform 1 for what seems like a lifetime now. After a good 50 minutes myself and the lads i was with decided to get off, get some food and then taxi it back to Rochdale. Who knows what time it eventually left but it had gone when we went back to the station to meet our taxi! Must say the police who were there were a joke, offered no help when asked about the situation and looked like they actually wanted things to kick off at times.

That was the impression I got as well, I'm really glad it didnt!! we ended up getting a taxi back, it went at around midnight, I know of someone who was close to passing out...

  6. dont think ticket prices will make anydifferance at all ability to attend the red sox bowl doesent stop there "fans " purchasing there replica shirts ,car stickers towels etc think the fact that they WIN trophys and are successfull is the draw the same will happen with citeah if they do ever start winning anything .

face it the obnly way to get the fans back is to be successfull look at wigan success on the field incrased gates and support localy its not rocket science !

Will that mean cheaper season tickets then?????? bearing in mind Wigin is predominantly a Rugby town and ticket prices have to be kept as low as to entice the town to fill the ground, maybe the same would happen in Oldham if the Roughyeds had a home!!

  7. The crucial point is the reduction of capacity, which for the BP redevelopment was 16000, has been reduced down by a full quarter.

Why, less than two years ago (or atually up until the Broadway project was announced) was it considered that we require a 16000 capacity stadium and now, all of a sudden, we don't?

It can only be due to reduced ambitions.

Put yourself in TTA shoes......putting £££££'s into a club on a weekly basis in which they have no loyalty to, I would compare them to lifeboat operators so before having a pop at TTA and their lack of ambition give them credit where credit is due because if it weren't for them the club would be up s*** creek without a paddle!! On monitoring attendance over the last 2 years a 12000 seater is plenty however......an option to expand would be a nice gesture from TTA. Not only would they be remembered for rescuing a sinking ship but leaving us with the option to expand.......anyway lets see how it looks when the plans are drawn up.
