what do you call rosey?and no manager worth his salt is going to be told to get to work with players that he may not rate, corney might aswell pick the team.
If we finish next season in a better position than this season what manager could say "I dont rate these players", id be interested to hear your or anybody elses opinion on this actually.

In my eyes if a player is injured then fitness levels drop, goes without saying, to go drinking on top of an injury says to me a player has a "f**k it" attitude. injury is bad enough for fitness without trying to drown your sorrows when on a 4 figure sum per week.

Is this not simply a rolling contract? If it works out, he'll stay on and if it doesn't the club don't need to pay him off.
As good as.
-
It isn't mandatory to leave at the end of a 1 year contract.
Just as your not guaranteed to stay for 3 years if you sign a 3 year contract (just ask Brian Talbot, Ronnie Moore and Shez).
If Joe does sign he might only be prepared to put the groundwork in.

i meant to put rosier, if its a decent team that gets put together and we finish higher than this year then why not?

If at the end of the season the league position is rosy then the next manager has to accept what he has to work with or hes not the right man for the job!
-
If it isn't I'll (again) be pretty pissed off at some recent events.
Find him the money....loads of it. Even risk going bust I say. All or nothing.....
I take it that it isnt your hard earned cash been invested other than games and merchandise????? "even risk going bust" top business acolade that is my friend, stick to what you know best.........voicing your opinions

Leaflets..chatting to supporters. Possibly canvassing.
I'd have thought leaflets in the Advertiser would be a good bet, people will open the paper have a brief glance then maybe, just maybe if the club's crest was emblazened on one side taking up the whole page with details on the reverse, might get some peopless attention......as long as the missus doesn't see it 1st and bin it!

ofc i got told a while back joe staying richie number 2 and wardle has given 7m to oldham i also thought thats bs but the guy that told me has never been wrong so we shall see i doubt it tbh.
sure ive read somewhere that wardle isnt putting in for next season........maybe wrong

also tht would explain the movement of the training to bp behind closed doors

There is another keeper I can think of....tony Bullock, currently on loan to Montrose, 36 years old, 6' 1", record reads home: 20 against away: 23 against, started his career off at Northwich Vics, Macc, Barnsley then went north of the border to Raith Rovers then to Dundee, played in the SCF against Celtic, had 1 put past him, his words not mine......." i have signed a pre contract 4 next season with Dundee but i'm playing 4 Montrose until end of the season to keep myself fit"
Now whether or not he would want to move south of the border again I dont know,

It'll give Tayls a welcome rest after this season, he's been run ragged, 46 games played, second/third highest number of apperances. Lets face it, why do we need him in the last two games?
Rather have him rest for two more weeks and come back into pre-season bursting with energy...
Hear Hear........like a cheetah chasing an antelope

Now I know why skim reading is bad
Roll on Tuesday
I had to do a double take on it as well, no complaints here though.......

There is a price cut of £70 if we sell 4500!! Good on them. We need to get behind this!!!!
I would have bought one anyway, but its nice to see the club are bettering other clubs, its a must I think, not sure on how many others will follow suit, if we do sell 4500 its the only time my bank balance will be going up mid month!!!
-
You can't buy one online yet though despite the article saying so
They aren't on sale til next Tues 9am. A significant discount if bought before noon though, the carrot has certainly been dangled, £70 refund if 4,500 st are sold, bit optimistic????

http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1634982,00.html im interested now, I will be purchasing one.

There is also a keeper up at Dundee called Tony Bullock, had stints at Northwich Victoria, Barnsley, Maccleesfield then went north of the border to play for Dundee, played in the SC a few years ago, had 1 put past him by Celtic, currently at Montrose til the end of the season, though hoping to sign another contract for Dundee, he was No 3 last I heard,
record: home-23 away:24 in comparison to 23+ 40.........47 is better than 63 I cant see him being that expensive either, out of contract til the end of the season also, whether he would want to move south of the border again I dont know, certainly be challenging for a 1st tem place. 6' 1" 36 years old.

Also saw Gazza on am on saturday..doesn't look like he's long left with us that fella!!
1 more tip over the 'edge' away??
I don't think Gazza could play on the medication he is on anyway and also he missed both pens on soccer am.........is that what we really need..........NO!
-
All well out of our league (literally).......... realistic hopes would be Gannon or Maybe Keith Hill at Rochdale.
You have got a point there.

The poll on Sky sports @ the moment is a poll on Ipswich Towns next manager, seeing as Roy Keane is the one they want should the club be looking towards one of the following??
1: Adie Boothroyd
2: Neil Warnock
3: Paul Ince
4: Alan Curbishley
5: Gus Poyet
6: Alan Pardew
7: Glen Hoddle
8: A N Other

Gazza (looking good on tv the other day) and Ronaldo (the Brazlian one)
I thought about Gazza earlier on today, still battling with his demons I think, Ronaldo (brazilian), is he not out of it with a bad knee injury??? Gazza.....Im in 2 minds, Ronaldo......no, purely because of injuries.

Lets face it Carl, whoever the manager is going to be there will always be some people who have a pop, part of life i s'pose.
