Clarke's hand is not even in the air when Edmundson heads the ball. He must have lifted it as Edmundson collided with him.
It's easy for us to dissect the events with the aid of replay and pictures. Maybe not so easy in the heat of the moment.I think you are bang on with the heat of the moment theory.
Ref- I saw nothing. What did you see?
Liner - nothing.
Ref- lots of shouting going on though. Liner- yep and the fourthy is waving at me. And we're in front of the home end.
Ref- yep that's it then deffo pen.

Yep agree
But the 4th official obviously had a better view.

Huge win and a clean sheet for them at Nuneaton today. Don't know if our boys played. They are just hanging on in national league North. Ahead of fake United. Wonder if the press will make as much of their demise as they did of their inception. No, me neither.

Looking forward to this. A rare Tuesday away which isn't that bad to get to. Been here a few times over the years on a Tuesday, including the 96th minute defeat a couple of years ago.
Looking back further we've never actually won at Stadium MK. Our only win away against MK was the 1-0 win at the Hockey Stadium just after Xmas when Luke banged in the winner. Thingy ran on the pitch and was then arrested for an hour
Had some horror shows over the years down there and not just the one. A 6-2 defeat saw the sacking of Sheridan when we were firmly placed for a play-off push. A 7-0 drubbing just before Christmas. Don't forget the 5-0 defeat we suffered as well. As mentioned above a 96th minute 1-0 defeat on a Tuesday night. Another two drab 0-0's both on Tuesday night's in back to back seasons. An opening away game 2-0 defeat. In 2014 we were 1-0 up only to go and lose 2-1 to yet again a 90th minute winner. Even last season under Wellens when we'd hit a bit of form and looked irresistible we chucked a 3-1 and 4-2 lead away to draw 4-4 in the 89th minute. I knew we had a poor record down there but looking back I didn't realise it was this horrendous.
Overall record Played 9 Won 0 Drawn 3 Lost 6. Scored 7 Conceded 27. Before last season that was just 3 goals in 8 visits.
Would be decent to get something here, after this (dependent on our cup exploits) our next four read Yeovil (H) Morecambe (H) Crawley (A) Crewe (H) which gives us a little run to hopefully enter that top 7.
I was thinking of going until I saw this. Thanks!

How on earth could he be adamant particularly as Clarke and Edmondson had there back to him, refs in a great position gives a corner and had no reason to change his mind whatsoever, unless of course pens are given for raised hands now???
I would agree. I put the 'was adamant' in quotation marks because thats what McCann said. Whats it got to do with the fourth official anyway.

Unless he's got binoculars, he's got no right to.
If he had binoculars he would see george headed it.

They both awarded a corner until someone got in the liners ear.
Listened to radio Sheffield on the way back. Grant McCann said it was the 4th official who 'was adamant it was a penalty. Would he have had a telly? Otherwise he was further away than the liner.

Oi why you picking on me Monty! I do get most things wrong but don't think I'm culpable for that one.
Feel free to prove me wrong though.

Really? Do you believe he's fit enough? I was under the impression from here (not always accurate I grant you) that he hasn't been training.

Wonder if another striker arriving this week we need one.
Bet it's the trust's fault if one doesn't. I'm interested that some people seem to be carrying a torch for Surridge still and as yet he hasn't gone anywhere else on loan. 8 days to go, fingers crossed.
