  1. Is there a train from Paddington with special OASIS designation, or have people booked whichever was cheapest?

I'm leaning towards driving to Bristol but I'm not sure if the simple West Country folk will be ready for the arrival of the first motor car.

Big up da Action Town massive blud. Did we meet at a few games last season?

Sure did Sir, I thought it might be you as more than two Latics in Acton would breach some sort of EU quota. :OASISscarf:

  2. Long time listener, first time poster.

I see Nervous_Tic is also an Acton-based #OASIS-er, that makes two of us... :curtains:

I'm undecided whether to get the train or to drive - why is the London to Bristol train journey the most expensive trip known to man?

  3. Manchester City are an abhorrent football club. Rotten from top to bottom; bent board members in the FA, rent-a-quote twats (Vieira) talking utter :censored: week-in, week-out, their fans with this false sense of entitlement when they've won the league fewer times than Huddersfield Town. For :censored: sake. They're an utter joke, the ground isn't full when they're top of the league and it was half-empty when they were down in this league. Which is where they belong. When the oil cretins get bored of the horrible fans, piss-poor support and general lack of interest in the club and the all-around losing mentality within the club, take their money back home and leave Citeh to go out of business I will probably die laughing.

The embodiment of every single thing wrong with modern football, encapsulated within one subsidised, half-empty council house wasteland in a part of Manchester you wouldn't set on fire, as it would be a waste of petrol.

  4. This season I have been to: Charlton, Orient, the Gayfarm, Trannies, Dogdale, MK Mongs and Brentford (not against Latics, as that match hasn't happened yet  )

I will also be doing Notts County, Wycombe and Bury before the season's out.

Wycombe's ground looks like an odd one, in the middle of an industrial estate. That could win 'worst away day', depending on the result.

The Gayfarm is a lifeless bin, only surpassed in its soulless-ness by the MK Mongs bowl affair.

Prenton Park and Spotland are both falling down, Charlton's ground is alright but needs a bit of tarting up (the away end is NOTHING special) and Orient's ground isn't far away from what BP would be with a new stand stuck on it.

I don't think Boundary Park is anywhere near as bad as we all make it out to be. Though I have never sat in the Rochdale Road end, and I never will. View from the main stand is great, and the Chaddy is where we all belong.

  5. How can anyone moan at this? The players are honouring a fellow pro, those cocks. It has nothing to do with them? Well it has nothing to do with the public either I'll let everyone thier well wishes on Twitter and Facebook mean nothing to the family. And I'm sorry Dianafication? So you're comparing a woman who died in a carcrash because she was running away from paps, with the driver drunk and driving at huge speeds. A woman whose death has caused silly rumours and accusations after over and over again for years, a woman who was a former Princess and rich. To a 23 year old lad who nearly died doing his job because the prober checks had not been done, yes I totally agree boo the well wishers their building this young man onto a pedastal.

Dianaficiation refers to the majority of the British public weeping at the death of a woman they'd never met. See also: minute's applause.

  6. Nothing whatsoever to do with Diana. And what's this 'we're not Liverpool' nonsense from someone criticising this on Twitter. It's just as much as to do with oafc as all the other clubs who've visited to pay their respects for a fellow pro and the tragic incident and battle he's going through. I'm sure Fabrice will scoff at the Latics shirt outside the Reebok wishing him well. "Nothing to do with me," he'll say.....!!

I'm sure while he's lying in hospital (not dead, as the guy above pointed out), he'll be comforted by the Latics shirt outside a football ground 250miles away.

This collective grief thing is really quite strange, people 'praying' for a footballer; if this had happened in League Two no-one would even bat an eyelid. It's like a race to see who be the most grief-stricken person, all this #PrayForMuamba nonsense on Twitter.

Rather than tweeting meaningless nonsense, why aren't these footballers/clubs sticking money in collection boxes for the St. John's Ambulance?

  7. The enhanced CCTV footage did back up the supporters version of events (that he called him a Manc bastard and Adeyemi misunderstood). It is written in the police statement.

And no unlike what the media would have you believe Suarez did NOT admit to racially abusing Evra. He admitted to using the word "negrito" once in the conversation not the alleged 7 times by Evra. I believe I wrote a huge reply to the Suarez case a few months back on this forum which no one could reply back to so I suggest you go look that up in my posts if you want to know my opinion on the matter.

First of all, why are you on our board? You won't find any Latics talking out of their backside on that RAWK nonsense.

Secondly, stop defending Suarez. Your club has already dragged itself through the mud for long enough on this subject; your idiotic manager and classless playing staff have shown your club's true colours.

The recent actions of your fans; the 'Monkey Gesture' bloke and the one who called Adeyemi a 'Manc Bastard' (my arse) reinforces what everyone in football knows: Liverpool Football Club are an embarrassment and a disgrace to this country.

Always the victims, it's never your fault.

  8. Anyone with the time and heart to write me a list of games I could pay on the door and go to?

Not sure if you'll see this before you have to head down t' Big Smoke but:

Fulham (at home to Stoke) should have a few tickets left. Ticket office no: 0843 208 1234

Milwall (at home to Derby County) won't be a sell-out, but you might need to get tickets in advance. Ticket office: 0207 231 9999

The weather seems to have killed the rest of the games, the next nearest to London are either Reading or Crawley Town. :sign0003:

    Edit to say:

Seem to have missed Orient vs Huddersfield as I had a look down the BBC fixtures. Ticket office: 0871 310 1883
