If he manages 20 games I'd be surprised.
I wouldn’t. There’s no Mo at Plymouth to dictate who plays.

Didn't the club announce that Vera had been released, then rejoined later?
I mean, I don't count him as a new signing, but I thought they had announced him as leaving.
They did. Still not a new signing.

Can't argue with that.

Which also makes him both here last year and a signing this year
Iacovitti is a new signing. Vera is an extension.

So was Lacovitti from your little list,
he was out of contract and fucked off for a while. He is therefore, a signing (unfortunately)
He was on loan and then signed permanently.
*Iacovitti.

There’s a bar called Ko-Ko Lounge in Rochdale.

Don't apologise. New signings deserve new threads. It's become a habit on here to confine all chat to about 3 or 4 different threads, it makes it hard to keep up with what's going and it has made this message board a pretty drab and tedious affair for the most part. Back in the day you had new threads not just for transfers and breaking news, but for new rumours too, and the place was a lot livelier for it. Even though we had a "Transfer rumours" thread, we had one for each new window, rather than the current one that dates back to last year. You don't know where to start when you click into it.
Take the "Take over/investment" thread. That was made regarding the initial take over of Al like two years ago, how is it still relevant to post in today? I get there's still questions and discussions to be had regarding his ownership, but they'd be better served being separate discussions of their own based on new information that has come out since, rather than just having one bucket to discuss all ownership discussion.
It's got that bad that because I never really check the website and follow social media sporadically, I didn't realise Shez had left us for Notts County until like a day after it happened, 'cause nobody created a thread regarding it, it all got discussed in a generic "Shez" thread and I used to use this forum to check for breaking news ahead of all other platforms.
I dunno, it might be just me, but consolidating all the chat into the same threads has ruined the experience of discussing Latics on here.
There’s an option that takes you to the first new post after the last one you read.

I am not apportioning blame to anyone Clifford. It was a question asking what the board members thought regarding making money or not for the club and should the club use the stand if it doesn't make any money from it. Where it would should those fans sit in other stands?. The FLG currently are looking after the OEC running so it requires them amd the club to strike a deal everyone accepts.
What if they aren't making money but still covering the costs to build it? If they don't keep up the payments and the bank takes control, we'd be in a worse position IMO.

Didn’t Corney set up a new company for the ad boards? Did he include that with the badge then?
Nope, that was a red herring.

So AL owns the ad screens?
Think so, yeah.

Maybe that deal wasn't a good one in the clubs favour?
Sure. And now we have no one to do it for the sake of a box room at the club.

I hear they've fired the guy who knew how to operate them...
Yep. They got rid of Eden Creative. They did the programmes and ran the hoardings for free in exchange for office space. Abdallah got rid.

I’m a big traditionalist, and strongly dislike the trend to switch kick offs for tv purposes but wonder if Latics consistently starting at 2pm on a Saturday would have either a positive or negative impact
But the original tradition seems to be that there was no traditional kick off time.

It’s a possibility Blitz is playing all of this... isn’t it? (To his own advantage I mean).
I seriously doubt it’s to much of an advantage. He’s been propping Corney up for years.

My assumption is that 1) there was, at some point, a fall out between Blitz/Gazal and AL 2) with good intention, the FLG exploited this and approached Bltz/Gazal 3) Blitz/Gazal consider it better to "sell" to the FLG (maybe with a sprinkling of ulterior motive too) 4) the plan is for the FLG to raise the necessary capital in order to eventually purchase the whole ground/land etc.
Or Blitz wants to cut his years of losses and the FLG think they can make it pay off the loan to build it. Blitz hasn’t made the money that people think he has.

Owen Coyle hasn't been managing anywhere?

Possibly. So AL/ML are sacking people from overseas now. Interesting.

Hahaha - guess what? The article published on the OS on the 5th July has changed. Originally it was titled "Millington focused on development". It's now "Large focusing on development"
https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2019/july/05072019-youth-team/
First sentence is a bit of a giveaway too: "Youth Development Phase Craig Large believes the Youth Team are in for a tough pre-season over the next month" - um what? Links at the bottom haven't changed: "Club news" and "Chris Millington"
Scroll down to 5th July, 13:56 to see the original title:
https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/League+Two/Oldham+Athletic
We do things right round here.
With AL and ML in Morocco, this has to be Barry’s doing. If I’m allowed to say that.

My Dad didn't fly for a long time after lightning struck the wing of the plane when he was going to Germany, he was in the seat next to the wing.
Landing in Madeira was a little bit gusty. We got delayed a day coming back because of the weather too, worse places to be stuck.Still never clapped.
The ones that clap and cheer when someone drops plates or cups are the worst though.Nah. People that clap in the cinema at the end of a film are.
