"FLG are miles more transparent, but yes backers revealed needed." - slight contradiction?

I don't really know why FLG refuse to let us know who they are if they are serious? What is to be gained in wearing the masks if they want us the fans to support them and their intentions?

    3 of them are known.

Over the last few weeks, he's used words such as 'positive', 'surprisingly open' and 'encouraged' in terms of his dialogue with Al.

Darren wont be going against Al any time soon.

I asked him what he's seen that has changed him from being all for a protest to sticking up for them, we may have been missing something. All he came back with is that we're getting some transparency now. That's the best he could offer...

Jorvik - I wasn't, and I`m not actually anti-Trust - I just want them to be effective in a time of real need.

My response was simply in response to the Trust rep's terse question to someone on here i.e. what would you do? - or something similar. I`m sick of a "supporters' body" being so impotent. For what it's worth, I`ll answer the question that the Trust rep raised i.e. what would you do?

    a) I`d come clean and admit that the Trust is "supportive" of the FLG's intentions to purchase the land/ground - fine with that.

    b) I`d therefore create a Trust/FLG alliance with a common goal - and ask all Latics fans to get on board

    c) I`d then even go one step further and say the END GAME is to also "buy the badge/team".

    d) We'd then have "the club", in its entirety, owned by one entity - and with a fans' share issue, the fans would have a stake in the club

    e) In the interim, make sure that the club's obligations regarding payment of rent etc. are honoured - if they are not, act swiftly.

I`d certainly enthusiastically support something like this and would be willing to put energy and money (i.e. chip in to the fans' shareholding) into the cause.

What's the downside of something like that (?) - that's all I`m asking. At present we are in danger of walking blindly into the abyss - the place is an absolute mess in all regards.

That’s actually a really good post. I don’t think the Trust would ever do that so the next best thing is to focus attention on the next best thing.

There's all kinds of ways in reality. He could be "funding it himself" via a director's loan/s via money from "other sources". That would saddle us with debt - but without seeing monthly management accounts, we'd never know.

Lenders could take security against future income e.g. gate receipts (!), money from cup prize money, league payments and even future transfer income - anything is possible where there is money to be made, whittles.

Depends where we stand with SCMP. If we’re spending more than we’re allowed (😆 I know, I know) then turnover can’t come from loans.

    This.

I believe the club will be left with massive debts and contracted wages when him and his brother walk away. All the debt will be with OAFC and he will be accountable for nothing on the other side of the world.

The only hope of us not becoming the next Bury is that the FLG are going to own the ground and therefore be able to catch the club when the rug gets pulled / the debts burst the lemmys little game.

No, no, no. The big nasty property developer (who worked for years in the ticket office for free) will just build houses on it when that happens. 🙄

Like I said think anything younger is called something else see https://www.thegersstoreonline.com/replica-kits/home-kit/junior/757_rangers-19-20-hummel-home-mini-kit.html

    Compared with https://www.thegersstoreonline.com/replica-kits/home-kit/junior/752_rangers-19-20-hummel-home-shirt-junior.html

Forgive the club choice but I knew they were hummel kits.

Think his point was that he’s been in the shop and there’s nothing for kids under 6 at all.

I guess it’s vague enough to be open to interpretation, but they are certainly behaving like they own the shares. Employing senior staff on contracts etc.

    10th May

As part of our purchase agreement, the fan led group have agreed to take over the operation of the Oldham Event Centre. This will commence on Monday, May 20th

    Also 10th

As part of the agreed purchase of Boundary Park, the group are acquiring the shares in Oldham Event Centre. Thus taking over the 364 day operations within the stand.

    17th

We are pleased to announce that subject to contract Simon Wood has agreed to renew his position as Executive Chef at Oldham Event Centre.

    19th

We have now been running the OEC for almost a month and this has allowed us to inject some much needed resource into the day to day operation of the facility.

Leaving out quotes to suit your incorrect beliefs doesn’t make you right.
