Quite possibly the worst song I've heard in recent years was was Man U sang "United are going to Glasgow.......". Some numpties tried adapting this to Latics but it didn't quite work (or rhyme!). It went something like this:

Follow, follow, follow.......Oldham are going to Car-difffff.

There'll be thousand of Blues, Out on the booze......cos Oldham are going to Car-difffff.

Rubbish. I used to cringe every time that was sung!

It'll have a sponsors name, I'm sure. We can't turn down the cash and I wouldn't want us to. It'll always be Boundary Park to me though.

I saw the fella who'd been hit, his face was a right mess looked as if he'd broken his nose. Apparantly, his son was kicking someone's chair and this bloke took offence to it, shouted at the kid, the kid's dad squared up to him and ended up on the receiving end of a clenched fist to the nose.

i said this on sat'day...... always remember a whole end of latics fans givin jon newby(cause he wouldnt sign for us?) a load of grief at bury one time...

 

well you can imagine what happened next....good job we had some weird argentinian in the team to make amends !!

The Argentinian was "The Inspector", Christian Colluso. He also hit the bar in this game then popped up to score in the last minute, much to the delight of the travelling latics fans. Must be about 5/6 years ago now.

I heard Kilkenny was on the pop in the Railway on Friday night as well. I wasn't in there but heard it off 2 seperate people who said he seemed a bit worse for wear!

That's what I thought! I think it's because they stopped the Greenfield line one time but I'm sure that was due to them doing some work on the line, not Police advice as I've been told this time round! Sounds line a "tall story" to me. Train from Rochdale it is then!

Are the trains from Rochdale and Greenfield running next week? Someone told me they'd been cancelled due to the game but I've not seen it mentioned on here anywhere?

I reckon Mouldy Old Dough & Harry J Allstars - Liquidator before the match. Leave it when we score it just sounds tacky IMO.

I suspect he "bats for the other side" as it were, and this has had an influence in his decision as well. Remember the stick Justin Fashanu got when he played? Also, as OldhamSheridan said, maybe he just doesn't like football! Seems a damn shame to waste your talent though, most of us lads would give our right......well left arm to play for the 'tics!

Like many on here, I view the jklatics site but like the format of this a lot better, might start posting on here as previously just lurked on the rivals site.

I've been watching the 'tics for 20-odd years now and am a Season Ticket holder in the Chaddy End. Get to nearly all of the away games & looking forward to a trip to Wembley at the end of May (hopefully!).
