I'll also stick my head above the parapet on this. Of all the players currently on our books he's the best we've got at CDM and we know he's a CB by trade and has covered RB too. He's smart at breaking up play and covering from CDM, he works really hard. He's mentally strong, coming back from that back injury showed real fortitude and I don't think he's missed a game through injury since he came back.

Unless we're signing two better CDMs, or he's overpaid for what he does, it's an easy decision to keep him for me.

He's done a great job at being crap in 3 different positions...

Irrespective of my opinion on the subject, I’d rather the NL represent the views of their member clubs than make unilateral decisions on stuff like this.

That is probably fair enough. My point is I'd rather lose at home to Eastleigh than have to travel there in a replay on a Tuesday in November to lose anyway...

  3. I would be happy to keep him, but Eyresy has a point : my stance is more due to his previous track record as opposed to anything he's done here since his appointment. His recent interviews have made me think he might knock it on the head after Wealdstone, but then last night he seemed much more positive about the squad in his interview...

They were shit long before the booing started.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation so effort is probably needed on both parts, I've got to say though this group is the most detached I've ever seen from the fans and from the outside as has been mentioned it looks like it's full of over flated egos and bad attitudes which for an older group of players is just weird.

Booing is justified in some areas (for example, failing to score against Oxford City is definitely worthy of a boo), but I do reckon booing has just been rolled out wily-nilly since February time. That performance last night, whilst certainly not being great, didn't justify boos in my opinion. Incidentally, I was stood on the front row and didn't hear any of these supposed boos that apparently greeted Norwood's arrival.

The game was just a bit "meh". On balance of play, they probably just about shaded it, especially towards the end...
