Well I won't be going to Chesterfield on a Thursday night, I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of refunds tickets.
It does seem like lots are getting refunds...

I'm absolutely certain Mike Keegan said the same thing about the new kits when he was on last season...

So we haven't agreed to it? Surely we can object to the decision then?.
I imagine if we didn't agree to it, it would class as us forfeiting the match and a 3-0 win would go to Halifax...

Halifax have pissed us about long enough with this fixture. Playing at chesterfield is a joke, 100 mile round trip. Get a refund so it costs Halifax more to host this fixtur
It's not costing Halifax a penny. Calderdale council are covering it all, even the refunds process...

I've got 3 tickets. We've decided not to go. We'll win, but so we bloody should do against a team who have shipped as many goals as they have. Incidentally, read that after their relegation, they're likely to go to the National League North. Would have imagined they'd be in the South...

Why is that? Teams like Wrexham, Stockport and Bradford will have decent followings that the police have to manage.
They have no choice but to host those clubs as Accrington are playing them. Oldham playing Halifax at Accrington doesn't need to happen - why would the police want the extra hassle...?

It's on their official Web site as well.I think it's disgusting that they haven't announced our match arrangements yet.
Either WE are being awkward or they hope to play us at their ground after it dries out a bit. But having seen how bad it was and the fact that more rain is forecast I suspect they'll have to play us elsewhere as well.Whatever it's a shambles.
Lancs Police wouldn't agree to us playing at Accrington. Accrington had agreed to all 3 Halifax matches to take place there - Police refused. Our away following for the game is what is complicating things...

They asked Accrington to host our game, but it's a no-go. Looks like The Shay is done with football for a while. It'll be at York or somewhere similar...

Fylde v Gateshead tomorrow subject to pitch inspection. That will mean Gateshead will need to fit in 5 league games between 13th and 20th April...

Is it not arrogant to think Parkinson would want to come here anyway? It's a sideways step at best. He could probably get a job at a league 2 side with fans who won't hound him out after a few months
A sideways step from Altrincham to Oldham...?

Gateshead is the one team in the top 10 that's changed manager mid season other than us. Given Williamson left and took players with him he's done a great job.
I'm pretty sure he's still only interim manager too...

In terms of academy, I think we'd keep the Under 18's. It's likely to be the younger age group (U9-U16) that go surely...

We keep thinking they might switch to somewhere else but who is to say that pitch won't be waterlogged.
Can you imagine we all set off to somewhere else and it's called off at the last minute!!!
Maybe they'll look at 3G pitches...

I agree we don't know the agreement between both clubs but surely when they do negotiate with each other a common sense approach would be the team finishing the season, with a deadline to do so, takes primacy.
Again, to me, that is common sense, and they should be working together and helping one another, but I am just naive.
A pitch that isn't playable for a game of football can often be playable for rugby...

Surely Halifax have seen the state of the pitch, and the upcoming forecast, and are looking at alternative options for their remaining home games...

Mellon did that wouldn’t you say? 11 wins and 4 draws out of his first 20 league games. Then a bad run followed. But it seems for many that bad run of 8 games is enough to get rid.
Initially, yep - and that's probably the only reason he hasn't been sacked or had the majority turn on him. The managers who get time are able to consistently churn out results...

Truth is, no manager who doesn't come up with the goods here and fast, ever will.
Such has the ever lasting patience of the fans been tested
That's not just here, it's everywhere. Every manager in the modern day who has been given "time" has been given the time because they've gone in and won football matches. Wild was mentioned earlier - people point out he was given 3 years at Halifax. The reason he got 3 years is because he went in and immediately won games of football.
Flip side of that is Noble at Wealdstone. Gone in there, can't buy a win. Sacked. It isn't just an Oldham issue...

Who has shown the ability to get out of this league more recently than Mellon who is also a realistic target?
You could probably argue Parkinson at Altrincham...

Just watched highlights back. Why on earth is Hogan appealing for offside for their goal...?

Noble sacked at Wealdstone...

Aldershot losing. Its still on...

The only reason people seem to have for keeping him is based on what he did elsewhere some time ago.
Open your eyes to the here and now and the absolute dogs dinner he has made of it.
You're probably not far off. My faith in him is down to his previous efforts in this division and not really anything to do with how he's done at Oldham so far...

I'll expect the aggressive counter arguments, but not surprised if there's truth behind this. There's "being nasty" in a positive way for the club and there's just "being nasty". Our downturn in form has coincided with his return to the team. Also, he hasn't scored from open play since Oxford at home! Blimey! I didn't realise that.
It's not true. He scored at home to Gateshead in December from open play...
