Probably based on the fact that Latics' form has nosedived, oh, and the players have decided that they don't play football anymore..at least not the way Mellon wants them to.
That's not the way it seemed in the 2nd half yesterday...

Based on what? We haven't lost to them in for 8 years, they're below us in the table and they're in turmoil...
And their top scorer is suspended...

Turmoil?…….you need to check the form table!
They had 1 win in 9 and then won their next three games. A stark reminder that things can change quickly in this division...

Are they? Thought they'd found a local multi millionaire?
He's not in place yet...

Unfortunately, we’d probably need about 9 games to amass 12 points!!
No reason we can't do it in 4. Things could look a lot better by 10pm next Tuesday...

You’ve got a problem!!
Why? Cos there's still 12 points up for grabs...?

I'd keep him as he has good pedigree, but he has to do so much more than he currently is doing.
FWIW, I wouldn't be too surprised if he left post-Wealdstone anyway...

Still a lot of football to be played this season and we haven't lost 3 in a row all season. I still reckon we'll sneak in...

Do we think a poor performance/heavy loss will have repercussions for Mellon….the board can’t be happy the way things are going?
Nah. But he needs to improve...

I thought the games at Dagenham and vs. Fylde had put that sequence to bed
We weren't bad against Dagenham. Certainly weren't a horror show...

These are pretty shite at the back struggled when Wealdstone went long. However their attack is fast and pass really well. Really like Conn Clarke arguably the best player in the league and will be playing league one football next year.
He's fat though. The game can pass him by if it's not going his way...

But performances are irrelevant at this stage of the season when we are just after points. And we haven't won in the last 6 matches...
OK. But that's not what I said...

I’ve seen a couple of references to say that their budget is about 16th/17th in Div 2
Not a chance...

Or we might just keep getting worst with each performance
That's not happened though, has it? We were better against Chesterfield than we were against Aldershot. And we were better against Eastleigh than we were against Kidderminster. And you've still not pressed the block button...

Could do with winning really, especially with Aldershot being at home to Dorking. Hopefully they follow the pattern of all season by following up a horror show with a much improved performance...

We haven't...

That ref was as bad as you'll ever see, he was totally incompetent but what can we do about that? He was determined to make it about him. I can honestly say it's the first time I've seen a player getting sent off for being fouled and their keeper should of gone for a blatant handball 10 yards outside his area that prevented a goal scoring opportunity. He also missed so many decisions it was actually embarrassing and he looked genuinely out of his depth.
Saying that I'm not making any excuse for the way we set up and played Fylde more than deserved their victory.
Apparently the "handball" decision was correct cos it hit the keepers' leg first. That's the law supposedly...

People are seeing more in Hammond than I have so far. Thought he was weak and powder puff yesterday and stayed on the pitch 20 minutes too long...

If we don't make the playoffs, the club would be well within their rights to remove him...

You may have a point there, BP.
Didn't Sheridan tell them to just go out and play? And lost 10 in 12 as we limped out of the Football League.
As for yesterday, it was pitiful. Some of the players should take a long, hard look at themselves, but yesterday is on Mellon. Still only 4 points off the playoffs and a win on Monday changes everything. Long way to go...

He's out of contract at the end of the season, isn't he?
We might have seen the last of him in a Latics shirt..
At least something good will have come from yesterday then...

Another comment from Brabin saying we were near the bottom when they come in. We were 13th 3 points from the play offs
Yep, it's a very disappointing comment from him. In fact, I'd even go as far as to say it's an outright lie and he's insulting our intelligence...

It's probably more because it's still a big financial decision and people want time to consider it.
Do you think people who have a limited disposable income have monthly standing orders to a savings account solely for Latics season tickets....
They've had a year to consider it. Just like you've had a year to consider blocking me and still haven't done it. Strange man...
