  1. From a Leeds point of view if your team didn't spend so much energy wasting time and looking for a smash and grab instead of playing football and attempting to win the game you might not be where you are.
  2. Really? I heard 'COME ON OLDHAM' midway through the 2nd half, that was it! Leeds' vocal support was unusually quiet but it has been that way since we started to pull away at the top of the league
  3. To be fair you were playing top of the league in name only! Only Howson would keep his place (and maybe Kilkenny) if all our players were fit and we hadn't rested a few. You were essentially playing Leeds United fringe and reserve players. Our 2 top goalscorers (Beckford and Johnson) didn't feature at all. In all we had 10 players missing or rested we had; Reserve GK 2 Reserve CB Loaned LB Loaned LW Reserve RW 2 Loan Strikers.
  4. Well to say Latics are a poor team is an understatement, I couldn't make the cup game so this is the first time I've seen you this season. From back to front they play with no direction, no pattern and seemingly no desire. Only your GK can take any credit from last night, the rest of the team need to take a long hard look at themselves... Not 1 of your players did anything in 93 minutes that you wouldn't see on Clayton PF on a Saturday afternoon. It would be easy to say that Leeds made you look poor but they didn't! Leeds started with only 1 player that would be part of what most would consider our strongest 11. For the most part you were dominated by a reserve team! All does not look good, thankfully I think there are 4 worse teams in this league. Finally what has happened to BP? It's a dump these days, disregarding the missing stand the whole place needs work... Sad. Times for Latics
  5. Just outside BP now, very strange Leeds team - 4 first team strikers on the bench and a very pacey starting 11. 2 first team centre halfs out but hopefully the gamble comes off. Time will tell...
  6. fair enough! So what can we expect from Oldham tonight? where are your strong points or your weak points?
  7. Looking forward to tonight, as I always do with a trip to BP. I only live 10 miles away so its the closest trip of the season and I followed you lot a bit a few years ago (when Leeds weren't playing, I should add) The girl I was with at the time was a Latics fan - I was even at your PO Semi at QPR. Anyway, as usual I have a bad feeling about tonight, it is just the type of game that I have got used to Leeds balls up and drop 3 points. Having said that I have had the same feeling for our trips to Bristol and Brighton recently and we scored 7 without reply in those games... so who knows! By all accounts you lot are having a bad time of it, some of my latics mates only go for the beer now and sometimes don't leave the bar. Talking to them, they're a little concerned about being out-numbered tonight and see it as the final confirmation that the club is firmly in reverse. The actual game will either be a tight, scrappy game or a complete hammering for you lot! I don't wanna come across as the arrogant Leeds fan but thats the way I see it. Should it not happen, I'm sure you'll all take great pleasure in pointing it out. The reason I say this is that we simply don't concede enough goals to lose many games (8 in 17 so far...) only Millwall have scored more than 1 against us all season. Again, having said all that Leeds do have a habit of shattering dreams and with 8 games this month and a potential 9 next month its going to be a very difficult period Hope your fortunes turn around after tonight
