  2. I would say not throwing things onto the pitch. Lets be honest it won't be AL that has to go clear everything away.

I don't think a 0 attendance would ever work, people may either not be aware or go regardless...

The affect that can be had when others witness a protest though is huge. Certainly a mass walk out during the second half.

And the possibility of a 'silent game' with no crowd noise, or supporters facing away from the pitch at kick off etc???

Does the trust have a relationship with the turnstile operators? If they were to join and strike it would have a very notable impact???

  3. How is it people are asking him to pay back? Thinking we've paid into his pocket?? The club hasn't made money for years. I agree it's time to move on and let Abdullah take us forward, but I wish people would remember that TTA stopped the club going out of existence! He never claimed to have bottomless pockets and not a single critic on here has ever bid to buy a club and plough money into it despite almost zero chance of a return!!!!!

There have undoubtedly been problems, but if corney hadn't been there when he Was, we would likely be dreaming of league 2 football right now!

  4. Mastap, it isn't merely about wanting corney out its about wanting a better committment from him to the future of the club - some communication, some evidence that he can and wants to turn this around.

I for one could not care less about what the owners of Blackburn et al have done, the fact remains we are appear to be in terminal decline under the current regime. We have as much reason to feel as pissed off about our situation and how our club has been managed as anyone.

What can we do? Well that's another question and I don't currently have an answer.

That's the thing, I'm not Corney's biggest fan, but you don't have the answer, nor do I. The thing is until we do, staging protests that are likely to make us look like an 'ugly' club to potential buyers, is likely to damage our situation rather than better it.

Change is definitely needed, but there's no point saying how bad a disease is if no-one is looking for a cure!

  5. I'd take Shez back, but ultimately the biggest concern is up front. To everyone asking why do people think we're doomed when we're only 3 points off safety, I would sum it up in two sentences, ones I don't ever recall having said before at this time of year....

4 goals at home so far this season!

3 wins, one of which a 0-1 thanks to a Bury own goal!

  6. Of the clubs that have protested against their ownership recently?

    You know the Blackpool's, Cardiff's, Charlton's Coventry's, Blackburn's.

How many of them have resulted in a successful ousting of the current owners, and new buyers flocking to the gates wanting to buy the club with the fans that have just almost destroyed the club they support to remove an owner that isn't rich enough to prop it up?

We aren't like these other clubs. 2 people siphoned some money out of our club, but ultimately Corney hasn't stolen huge parachute payments off us! He hasn't pocketed millions off us!

He's trying to fund a club with hardly any fans, 2 very big neighbors and very few prospects of actually giving a successful financial return in the near future.

I've seen people wanting Corney out for months now. How does that work, he leaves us, walks away, puts us in administration? We drop into liquidation but our assets (not that we really own many), don't cover our debtors. We declare insolvency or get a winding up order and cease to exist?

    You want change........?

    Find a new buyer!!!!

  7. Like in January you mean?

Hate to jump on the band wagon, but yes, we took an experienced manager in January. The first in a looong time. The only one of the 7 we'd had in the 24 months prior. Ironically the same manager that we gave his first management job with us back in 2006, and the same manager we sacked for poor performances in 2009. Yes he did well, he got the team playing like anyone with any people management skills would. But the fact is, he has an allegiance to Oldham, his former club and first management job, and he was no doubt a cheaper manager than many other prospects.

The fact is, we need real experience. And current experience in this league. There are a few promising names that have been mentioned, but they will all require a reasonable wage, and subsequently investment from Corney.

The fact is, that probably won't happen, and I am expecting when the news comes, if it ever comes (The news coming from latics website seems to have stopped completely recently!), we will have an ex mediocre football player, that has never managed, needs experience to have a chance of ever going to a half decent team and will spend a few months here getting that experience for peanuts, before moving to work for a chairman that will pay him the industry standard!

  8. Whilst I am a fan of Dowie, bringing in Fitz and Wayno on the cheap was hardly outstanding management, bearing in mind his brother was manager of Chesham at the time and tipped him off about them.

Thats true, but like most players we sell to higher clubs, they wernt quite at that standard when we got them! Dowie helped us get the best out of them. Looking at our team on paper we should be nowhere near the relegation zone! Unfortunately it would appear Penny doesnt get the best out of players! Not ours anyway!

I also hope if we do get a new manager, they wont be bringing some of their squad with them, just for them to flop for us!

  9. Wasnt me who said that, think you need to recheck who posted it.

    You mean this?

yeah sorry, wasnt paying attention, nievely assumed same person had replied to me! Anyways, jus sayin my thoughts are that dowie would be a good manager, and remember he also brought it bargains like fitz!

I'm off now anyways, got a press conference to get up for tomorrow haha!

  10. ???? I never said I hated him?

It was stated that he didnt have much money, so I ran off some of his signings off the top of my head.

ok the word hate never came up, but you did say you'd never want to see that prick anywhere near latics again! I sorry, I mistook that for a dis-liking, in hindsight I guess you could have just been expressing your love towards him!

  11. 250k on killen

    200k on clint hill

    10k for wayne andrews

The likes of Wijnhard and Matty Appleby and Dean Holden on a :censored: ing mint

Just out of curiosity did you hate him so much when we where playing QPR in the play-offs? or did your anger for him come when he left and we couldnt find a replacement to match him?

  12. Not happening and wouldnt want the backstabbing arrogant prick anywhere near here again!! You forgot he tried to sue the owners for outstanding wages of 100k dating back to the Moore era??

He soon dropped his case when he realised his beef lay with Moore and had nothing to do with the TTA

Everywhere he has been he has had money and been sacked for various reasons, left Palace having verbally told Jordan he was only leaving to go back north then a week later joins Charlton!!

    Self righteous tw*t

    ahmmm *clears throat*

he didnt really have money when here! and yeah there where issues, but the things you've just said about are problems you had with him off the pitch! on the pitch he did a great job! and its on the pitch where it really matters in my opinion!

  13. If Penny does go would LOVE to see Dowie back, by far the best manager we've had in recent years (and with realistically limited funds and small wage budget!), unfortunately, I cant see any reason why Dowie would even think about coming back! he seems to be happy enough out of management and I'm sure could have been somewhere else by now if he wanted! To be honest I think richie would be good but only till May, it may not be really fair on penny but we're in the relegation zone, if "new manager syndrome" and "ex-legend status" can get us then few wins we need to stay in this league then I guess it makes sense!
