Connor Ripley played the first 45 minutes for Middlesbrough against Oxford in Portugal on Wednesday. Konstantopolous played second half. Does that tell us anything?

They are still waiting to get the deal done for Karl Darlow. Once that happens things could change. I don't think Ripley will be back with us mind.

Erwin any day . Although Baxter has outstanding talent he used to go missing for long periods of a game. Also he seems to be addicted to a certain drug so can we trust him???? It would be a massive risk.

I imagine someone who has failed two tests in the last two seasons (two different drugs btw) will have the drug testers at the door every single week.

Depends how much "made available" is worth to Leeds. Nominal fee and sell-on clause? Sure. But if they want to recoup a significant proportion of the fee they paid - said to be around £300,000 - I'm less keen.

    They seem to think that...

And while the club has allowed Erwin to leave on a free transfer, Leeds are interested in a sell-on clause for the Scottish striker.

Moisley says we are owed money from a club with a large following we played in April. That's either Fleetwood (large following for them) Rochdale or Bolton. As we got a transfer embargo for not paying our football debts, will the offending club now get an embargo?

They definitely aren't talking about Fleetwood Town.

Greedy league- Either loan players out to clubs now as you currently do or stop hoarding so many fucking players you need this B team nosense in the first place.

EPPP, England DNA, it's all a load of bollocks. There's a room at St George's Park with a clock counting down to the 2022 World Cup Final. I've been reading Michael Calvin's latest book and he spends time with Dan Ashworth the FA Director of Elite Development. Ashworth says it's shame clubs like City can't buy a club like Oldham, Bury and Rochdale to farm players out. Stop taking so many and we could just be playing them every week anyway.

He is certainly not the player he used to be, and, when he left the club I was glad to see him go as he was already on a downward slope to oblivion.

I'd agree he isn't the player he was. Not from what we have seen but a downward slope to oblivion after he left us is a bit much. Four seasons in the Championship and two Wembley appearances playing for Millwall and Blackburn he did alright for himself.

We've had plenty before who'd love a similar downward slope.

That's more than what Bury and Rochdale get most weeks combined.

I do miss the rivalry we used to have with Huddersfield and Tranmere. Maybe Wigan can be that side next year, cos Rochdale don't provide it.

Wigan were gone that long they'd forgotten about us. Fans of Wigan in their early 20's would have just about remembered playing us. Probably take a while to reignite that one.

Just to put the record straight, Calvin Andrew is not an unpleasant chap, and what he did to Clarke was completely out of character.  He very rarely even gets booked.  So I don't know what provoked him although his assault on Clarke was indefensible and Dale fans are in agreement with that.

    Whatever provoked him....

He ran about 15 yards to do it. Never a moment of clarity when he thought maybe this isn't a good idea. Nice guy indeed.

It's a tough one. You'd have thought last season and the one before would have been the chance for one or two to force themselves in at the start, given how thin our squads were. Maybe first time managers fearing the sack from day one are going to look for experienced plodders over kids every time.

Yet a fairly recent example would be loaning Rasulo from MK just months after our lot battered his side in the national final. Makes little sense but then it was under Dunn.
