  1. Not after attention, like I said just wondered if anyone wanted review what was said back at the start of the season and they can't do that if I post on another thread. Didn't see the recent poll to be honest, but I'd like to know the sample size as of the fans I've spoke to it's nowhere near that percentage who still want him, I'm in the minority agree but not by that margin.
  2. Just wondered if anyone would like to review what they said on this post at the start of the season. I've not seen anything since which changes my opinion of Dickov, and before anyone asks yes I have been to a number of games this season home and away. For me this season was far too similiar to last season for my liking (if you take away the distraction of the JPT and the liverpool game) and it just shows Dickov isn't learning from his mistakes.
  3. Some intersting points. Oh no wait a minute, again your post has nothing of any interest or orignal opinion contianied in it. All you got there, again, is a statement attempting to belittle someone you don't agree with. Try adding a counter argument as to why Dickov is doing such a good job rather than vague statements with no point.
  4. Do you people only read the last post in an entire thread? You've asked several questions here that I've already answered from previous idiots who regurgitate the same thing over and over again. You keep referring to a small squad, this is Dickov's decision. He's come out saying he wants a smaller squad with better quality, in other words he wants to have higher average wage on better players. Only thing is he has't got any. Diamond looks good and an upgrade from Hazell in my opinion but other than that we've gone backwards. He's signed Parker who has yet to score a goal in any professional game and Dickov said he was going to give us 'extra fire power'. Are you lot complete morons? Why can't you see he doens't know what he's doing! Last season he signed endless players on short term deals who we never saw, all money down the drain. Then you lot complain about lack of funding. All teams who have got anywhere in this league have done it by cherry picking the lower leagues and this one for proven players that don't make headlines but do a job. Dickov signs inexperienced players and complains they show naivety. I was all for giving him time last year to learn from his mistakes but what I see is a stubborn guy who isn't going to admit he's wrong and change what he's doing, hence we need to get rid!
  5. well the majority of the people on here are all for Dickov and against Corney. Completely backwards in my eyes. Dickov has had over a full season and a whole pre-season to sort his team out and to get them playing in style he wants. If he can't get it in order enough by this time to at least score 1 goal in open play in 3 matches, it rings serious alarm bells. He needs to go now sooner than later so the next one in has enough time to get their style into the squad, because at this rate we'll be bottom at Christmas, a lot of you with your heads up Dickovs brown eye will be shouting for his head and then complaining about the new guy not getting results quickly. Genuinely, can some people give me a yardstick for when they believe this season Dickov's position should be questioned? How many games gone and how many points that's all I'm after.
  6. Aidy Boothroyd, did a cracking job at Colchetser and I thought he was unlucky at Coventry. Gary Johnson, take away Peterborough and he's got an amazing record
  7. Your expecting a different result from the same method. But to spell it out easier for you, you are about as bright as a 2 watt bulb! Just all wait for the post match interview, 'I won't stand for it', 'Players didn't keep ther shape' and 'We're not doing the basic things right' will all come out and they'll be out all season until he either changes what he's doing or he's out the door!
  8. So a lack of goals is going to come from changing the left back? You say Dickov will get someone on loan to fit next to Wes/Furman, so what's he got Lund for? End-product left winger, Yeovil signed O'Brien from Swindon and Edgar from West Ham this season where was Dickov? As I've said previously Dickov himself has come out and said he wants a smaller squad with better quality, which translates to a higher average wage to get better players, only thing is he's not gone and got any.
  9. Well I'm surprised people these days measure their IQ against posts on internet message boards! How long does a genius like yourself want to give a new manager to get it right?
  10. 'All in all not too bad a squad, but we need 2-3 creative types on loans from prem clubs and I am sure we will get them.' So where are these coming from then? 2 or 3, who's coming out of the starting line up to accomodate them? Smith, Morais, Taylor, Wes? You might as well say the team's not god enough. Taylor and Morais should be more than good enough to create chances in this league, a manager who had tactical know how would be able to get it from them.
  11. It's not just 2 league games for him, he had all last season as well and we finished a lot lower than we should have done. If you say it was due to injuries, he's then decided this season to get quote 'a smaller squad with better quality'. In other words the average wage is probably higher than last year and the players aren't even better! How can you say that is good management?
  12. Seriously, no goals in open play in 3 games is shocking. Yeovil away and we can't even get 1! He needs to go now. One of the smallest squads in the league, his own doing, and now Furman is out (sounds like the season) we're in deep trouble and it's only 2 league games gone! For all of you about to reply it'll come good just need time, he's had plenty of time to get it right and I'm still not seeing it. Can I also predict the post match interview, Dickov blames the team for not keeping shape and not doing the basic things right. He says it every time we lose. I'm sick of his excuses and always blaming the players for his complete lack of managerial nouse, get rid now before it's too late!
  13. Hasn't Peltier gone to Leicester for around £750k? If a right back is going for that kind of money surely a central midfielder with 12 goals is worth at least that
  14. If you're never quite fit and keep playing it usually makes you worse. Fitness doesn't always relate to stamina, look at Taylor the season before last. Granted it stemmed from an injury but after that went he still never looked the same because he was never ready for a full match but was forced into them. To be honest not really seen hi play much as don't get to many games down where I am, but I'd sooner have a keen player who wants to be here and get his career back on track than some player collecting wages before he dicides to call it a day. West Brom must have seen something, he might not be Premiership quality but that doesn't mean he's crap.
  15. Not read everything on here as there's a load of responses, so if what I'm about to say has been said apologies for the echo. Why don't they just offer kids under a certain age (12 is usually a good starting point) free entry if accompanied by an full paying adult. At the moment it's £3 for u12's but just 2 stands (yes i know we've only got 3!), once they're in concession stands will get the money off them as kids these days are all obese (well so bbc news tells me!). I can see the discounted season ticket prices and they do look competetive but at the end of the day a lot of people don't like being tied down these days and a lot of people can't commit to spending a bulk amount of money and like to see if they can afford it on the weekend in question. If we can afford to discount prices for season tickets now why can't we do it during the season? Understnd we need to turn every away fan upside down and shake the money out of their pockets while we can but we can surely offer discounts for loyalty for people who choose to pay on the day. At the moment it's less than £18 a game for which ever season ticket you get, for people paying on the door give them a card with A,B, and C columns and then stamp each one for each game they pay on the day for. As they come again the price gets discounted by an amount. So for example let's say Joe Oldhamer goes to a cat A game and pays £23, his second cat A game he pays £21, third cat A game he pays £19, then £17, then £15. Across the five games he pays and average of £19 (more than season ticket holders so everyone's happy) and he gets an incentive to come back. Obvoiusly you'd limit these cards to a number of stamps and they only count up for like for like categories. I genuinely think this would bring people in and if combined with free kids for paying adults could really boost the attendances. What do people think?
  16. To say the above players have found their true level is a bit harsh both on them and L2. Numerous teams over the past few years have shown the gap isn't that big, look at Rochdale! Personally thought all of them were decent players for us and were part of a team that finished a hell of a lot higher than the current team did. I've seen other people saying they don't try, complete rubbish, Alessandra was brilliant at the start but then got injured and Smalley was only given about 5-10mins whenever he was chosen. All for the manager being in charge of the team and he doesn't like a player get rid, but I do have to question whether or not Dickov has got a true understanding of the level we are at who exactly does he expect to bring in to replace these two players? I'd love to here some real (can't stress that enough) targets that PD has in mind and whether or not we can afford them, his last couple of signings have been via Playershare which is basically living outside our means and can only lead to trouble.
  17. I've never really seen or heard of teams at our level getting 'big money' for players not in the first team who are gathering interest from the likes of Bradford and Chesterfield. I know there's a long way to go as the season's only just finished but as it stands there's no one in either of these players way to be in the squad on the first game of the season. Maybe Dickov can work his magic and get a gem like Dikaba or Feeney or Jones or Todd. He did well with M'Voto and Tounkara but i feel they were more put forward to him by a mate of the game rather than his eye for talent. I just feel when we've never got any money to spend on transfers or big wages we should be keeping our home grown and trying to get some consistency in our squad from season to season. We're here again a new season coming up and about 10 out and 10 in, it's not good. Don't know the world of contracts well but can't see players who have come through the ranks would cost more to extend theirs rather than get someone new in, who's agent needs a new patio!
  18. I'm trying to understand PD's thinking behind offering players new contracts in particular Alessandra and Smalley. Lewis was here all last season and when fit was in the team, can play in a couple of positions (always useful in smaller squads) but not given a new contract. Dean was shipped out on loan all last season because he couldn't get in the team (which I thought was a bit of joke as again can play either wing or up front and is very useful coming off the bench) but has now been offered a new contract. If it was me I'd definitley keep both, through the ranks so surely can't be on silly wages, but I just don't get why the one who was here last season has now gone and the one who PD didn't want last season has been offered a new contract to stay. Any explainations would be appreciated as I can't make head nor tail or it!
  19. I tried it a little a Peterborough but no one was listening, it's easy! It's Richie Jones in the tune of the chorus for Daddy Cool. Richie . . Richie Jones! Richie . . . . Richie Jones! What do we reckon?
  20. Yes I've got a question, a couple actually. 1) If the club CANT afford him why the hell are we trying to sign him, we don't want to end up like Portsmouth! 2) If the money from Eaves is being used to support the club 'as Blitz once did', this means we are already spending too much and need to sell a player for 200k each season (isn't going to happen) to stay afloat. So really need to be offloading before we think of adding.
  21. I'd drop both Smalley and Stephens, they both need a kick up the arse.
