  1. Right. I was in the blower with Roy yesterday who was spitting feathers about iFollow. Apparently you can access commentary but not pics in the UK, unless you do the shady things people are saying above. You get pictures but not commentary abroad unless you go shady, in which case you can get commentary but not pictures.

If you want half-time music and the half-time scores, you have to email the football league and get in their case.

  2. Get well soon Pete. Hopefully the money Ex_pat pays you gets you the very best private medical care.

Good stuff from Singe, but it's not a good look when the top two in the stiffs league have more points than than their counterparts in the Big Time. The competition is clearly on its last legs and it might be better to fold now and leave people with their memories of my Three Epic Title Wins than to carry on. Call it how you see it. Or call it what Ex_pat pays you to call it.

  3. I'm a long-time admirer of Gravity Grave, who's always managed the odd bit of eye-catching predicting magic amid a great many mediocre offers. Which is much more than the likes of rudemedic ever do, bobbing along in their middling coracle in an ocean of average. What's most impressive about GG this season is he hasn't disappeared and it's October. It's all very well pulling out individual results when you're out of the running, but can he dig in when necessary and still get those big one-off scores? That's what it takes to be a Champion like me.

That said...it's been a while since Dave Collinge showed the class that puts him up there with me in the All Time Greatest Predictors League. If he keeps this up, everyone else might as well not bother. You can all fuck off anyway because the points totals are way off what's necessary to get within telescope range of my record.

  4. This is all very technical. When it was LaticsPlayer, it was possible to sign in from several locations. For instance, I could sign in from Oldham and from London, multiple times. That facility seems to have closed.

PS: if you're logged in with my details by mistake, could you log out again? Cheers.

This could work if Seedorf is manager/DofF and Wellens head coach.

Seedorf raises profile of the club, uses his contacts to secure decent players and is present to inspire the team each and every match day.

Wellens on the training field alongside Seedorf and conducts majority of training.  Wellens will gain immense knowledge from Seedorf boosting his development to become our main manager in a season or two.

Mourinho and Ferguson are/were both motivators leaving the training, coaching and fitness to their team.  Leading up to each matchday and on matchdays this is where both earned their wages by inspiring, motivating and pushing mind over ability.

Obviously Seedorf isn't long-term and only a season if that but he'll be here to bridge the investment, new owners and, hopefully, we retain Wellens as I think we've a good un in young Richie.

Right. Cards on the table. You're Corney. You can have Richie Wellens. Or you can have Clarence Seedorf. Yes THAT Clarence fucking Seedorf. Who's it gonna be? Right now.

  6. I'm also cynical...I carp from the cheap seats with the best of them...but this just fills me with love.

Although it it does fit the Corney template of giving retired players with spare cash an opportunity to work for no money to get a foothold in management. (I know this isn't true but can't help myself.)

The club's accounts for 2016 have been published. They show a loss of £4.6 million due to asset writedowns

anybody qualified to give an opinion on what that indicates?

I'm not a qualified accountant or any sort of accountant...come to think of it, I'm fairly shit with money...but I think it indicates that both Messi and Ronaldo are coming in January.

  8. Gravity Grave is looking the business at the moment and might even have a chance at getting within 40 points or so of my record.

Nice to see some other Big Names of Predicting up there, such as Dave Collinge (there's only one name as big as Dave Collinge in this game). Good to see Joe P and nzlatic back where they belong among the also-rans...after the trauma of their respective amateur and professional helicopter Sunday meltdowns.

I'm also very pleased for Ex_Pat who seems to have found the money (doubling up on the street no doubt) to pay Stevie J and Bristolatic what they ask in exchange for bumping you up the league.

  9. My father and other working class football heroes, by Gary Imlach.

Yes, him off of the cycling. His father played for Bury and Forest among others in the days when footballers were indentured labour - maximum wage plus enforced retention, which Bosman sorted out only very recently.

It's a top book and everyone should read it.
