The easiest way to quell any unrest is too put out stories of potentially interested buyers/ investors with the caveat that nothing is imminent. I'm sure I heard mention of a sales prospectus that was available that featured some ridiculous asking price based on the potential returns available in the Champ/ Prem.

If there were to be played at BP, the pitch would be a problem but if they were played at Chapel Road, lighting would be a problem. Don't think the other teams in the league would be in favour of it either (teams such as Mansfield coming up for a Friday night).

That particular guy does seem to have, er, issues that may not be football related...

It was a great read - a real meltdown. Mind you, given some of the comments the guy has posted about Corney & others in the past, I'm surprised they let him in.

How did Peter Clarke do at Bury last season?
I loathed him at Huddersfield, it must be said.
Player of the season & I'm sure he was on a two year deal.
-
I've heard Burgess - If so that's me happy as a pig in :censored:
Did well at Cheltenham but unproven beyond that. I know we're expecting a struggle this season & people will either be OK or not with that (and I certainly won't be looking to blame Robinson for it) but it would have to be a really easily pleased pig or some top grade, quality :censored:.

I can't describe how angry this makes me.
(Should I be angry?)

Staying on trial at Bradford

I see Huddersfield have signed Liverpool goalkeeper , Ward., on a season long loan.....Coleman must have impressed in training
Was always the plan for them. The Ward deal was agreed before Coleman moved.
-
His tweet a couple of days ago was about Wilson signing for sheff Utd apparently!
Go back to tweets from around the start of June

Gerrard was pissed off at the club not paying his wages. Highly unlikely to return.
-
Preston's new blue shirt with a diagonal white stripe is interesting.
It's a stock Nike kit that one. A few grassroots teams use it.
-
I seem to be in a minority that wouldn't be happy if Shirtliff got the main job. I know he was part of the staff that ept us up last season but hasn't he failed at Mansfield & not really impressed in a couple of caretaker manager roles?
-
Would be a nice gesture from the club to put some kind of silver lining on a terrible summer !
When they've not been paying wages on time, probably haven't sold more than a handful of season tickets for months, I doubt very much they'd turn down a couple of grand from Huddersfield fans just for the sake of making a gesture.

What he actually says is 'no there is big empty pages front and back of the chron today'
Front page leads with Frizzell, back page is about the search for a new manager continuing. Mentions John Pemberton but only speculates that he could be in the mix. With interviews to be carried out, I really wouldn't expect anything to happen until the back end of the week.

Don't honestly know what to make of it. Will we be looking for a manager or a head coach to work with what he's given? If the latter, then surely SoD has to be more than an advisor. Reading between the lines, it doesn't seem like we're particularly close to the manager/ head coach appointment & that it won't be Kuqi anyway.
-
Wonder if the issue is that SoD doesn't want to be manager but also doesn't want Kuqi to be coaching the team & players it'll be his job to piece together?
-
At least we start with 3 points advantage over Bury.
No we don't
-
If you were gerrard, dieng, wilson (either) there is no way you'd be accepting contracts here. This fooking about is going to cost us at least 3 of those 4 and lets face it, they're pretty much all we have left.
Gerrard didn't seem happy that his wages were delayed so that was always a non-starter anyway. Pretty sure we'd be a last resort for the others for the same reasons.
-
He has been right about things before. He was one of the first to break the Sheridan news...
Yep & several others before that. He certainly used to work for the club & will still hear things that go on. Has done an occasional wind up but I wouldn't be quick to dismiss everything he says.
Last Tuesday morning, people were at the club believing Evans was about to be announced before he pulled out of the deal. If this set of deals collapses, I'd love to know what they're all finding out before they sign.
-
Wonder what reception he'll get if he plays against us?
Given how everyone seems to be on first name terms with him, he'll probably be cheered to the rafters.
-
Chron reports/ confirms that we're looking to have SoD as Director of Football, Kuqi as manager & Shirtliff as assistant
-
Would be a decent signing, let's hope it's true and also that Curtis Main is coming too!!
Main rumoured to be going to Port Vale

I may have missed the discussion on the most recent set of accounts registered at Companies House a couple of weeks ago but here they are anyway. Presumably assets & creditors up is all stand related but if everyone can kick this thread around tonight, I'd no doubt read lots of expert opinions on what the numbers mean in the morning.

To provide some context to the year covered:
LJ was manager at the start & our line up for the opening game of the season was Rachubka, B Wilson, Kusunga, J Wilson, Mills, Winchester (Philliskirk),
We were doing well (3-0 at Dale) until it came crashing down when the links with C.Evans became public & we played a silly formation at home to Yeovil. We lost in the cup and Simon C said that he wished we were still in the cup.
We 'sold' LJ to Barnsley and meandered to the end of the season.
