Reading through the old issues of the Boundary Bulletin, it looks like the club disowned the independant supporters club & started a new official supporters club (see link below) Oldham Athletic disown independant supporters club I'm assuming that this caused a degree of friction, was this the case? Also Ken reacted in writing to fans who threatened a "poppy boycott" of Oldham games following the clubs decision not to allow the charity the British Legion to operate at Boundary Park. Does anybody remember these events? Chairman's response to fans poppy boycott
