  1. The difference for me between this team and others that have had spells of great football under Dickov and Shez for example, is that every single player looks comfortable with the ball at their feet. Not one of them worries me when being pit under pressure.

If we stay injury free and keep the team together, we have good chances of pushing for play offs later in the season when we gel up front.

This is absolutely spot on! It'll come!

  2. Not really. I said I thought he was :censored:e. I have now said I was wrong. I haven't once made out like I "always said he was good"...

I'm not saying you! Why are people themselves taking it personally? Others have agreed with me on this that with our fans there are a lot who get on players backs like Matt Smith, Tarky etc and there will be a new one this season and when he comes good them same fans will be saying that they have said that all along. Very fickle. And I know there are many that agree with me on this and it annoys them as well.

  3. Trust me, I'm not saying all fans, I'm just saying a lot. There is many Oldham fans that are proper football fans, they're patient, stick by the team etc BUT there are a hell of a lot that moan constantly, and there's always a scapegoat for a loss. It's the most annoying thing to see! Tarky is the prime example I can see, call him :censored: and are on top of him, now look at him. All players need time and support, support them not boo them!

  4. I think you'll find he did, at the impromptu 'meet the manager/ chairman' thing last month, smart arse.

And I didn't say he said he'd move us to ':censored:ing Salford'. SC said he would move us from BP.

So you're saying that his quotes beforehand that were in the Chronicle mean nothing? And why would he move us? Think about it, he won't move us to Salford because attendances would dwindle. And why would he move a side when the stand has already been paid for etc to now make a stadium? It doesn't make sense, personally I don't care either way, I'm happy if we hav Corney and I'm happy if we have Koukash, what I don't get is all this negativity around Koukash when he hasn't done anything to merit it, just normal moaning Oldham fans, some of which were probably moaning about Corney some time ago and wanting a change.

  5. He has said Koucash is NOT the right kind of guy. Said he wanted to move us from BP and was not interested enough in football.

I'll think you find that he hasn't. Read the Chronicle article about Koukash from the last couple of days and it has the same quotes he said about Koukash in there, that's he's a good guy etc.

And he isn't going to move us to :censored:ing Salford I don't get why people don't understand this, he turned him down because he wanted to do that, he's obviously has to come back in with a different change of mind to even get anywhere near close to the purchase of the club.

  6. There's a difference between wanting to sell and being prepared to accept the asking price.

He's said many a time that the club is up for sale and that he is wanting to sell it to the right owner. When that price is met he will sell, BUT only to the right man, so Koukash, who Corney has said is the right kind of guy etc.

  7. Corney wants to sell at the right price for him and our two other landlords. I trust him not to sell to an obviously dodgy guy like Vaughan as well.

Until someone matches the (inflated) asking price, Corney isn't selling the club.

As to the original question, I'm not that bothered but gun to my head I'd choose SC, better the devil you know and all that.

So when Koukash does match the price, because he wants the club, it's his. No ifs & buts about keeping Corney because he doesn't want it and wants to sell.

  8.

What stops him from changing his mind once he owns us?

    - Koukash has already stated in the past that if he was to buy the North West club he wouldn't re-locate it, this may be in response to Corneys comments, we don't know.

    - Corney loves Oldham Athletic and would never sell to a man that would move us to Salford after all the hard work he has put in getting permission to build the new stand etc

    - Koukash knows this and wouldn't come back in for us if he hasn't changed his plans of what to do with us (I.e. his comments)

  9. 1) Corney wants to sell, so people wanting us to stay the way we are etc arent going to get that. Corney has frequently said that he wants to sell to the right person and he himself put Koukash in a positive light and said that he liked him etc.

And another main point is that many people think that Koukash will relocate us to Salford because that's apparently what he wanted to do the first time he came in for us, we know this from Corney. But the thing is that I don't think Koukash will relocate us if he does buy us and that is because...

Corney turned him down for buying us last time he was in for us because he wouldn't sell to a potential new owner that wanted to re-locate us, this means that the only chance that Koukash would have of buying this club is if he changed his thinking and didn't relocate us, I believe this is what is happening with him coming back in for us. He has changed his mind with what he wants to do with us and so will be able to buy us BECAUSE if he did still want to re-locate a club to Salford why would he come back in for us when he knew that he won't be able to buy us because of that?
