Lol. As soon as I saw this topic I thought DOGDALE! Another one added from moi.
-
One on ones ? Macken could put his one on one away, last free kick To go past brill ? Please he has been abit of a accident prone but give the lad credit when it's due. He has been solid since he has been back in net and have we let in more than 2 since he has come back?
He has been better, I agree, but a clanger is only around the corner with this guy, we've seen enough of him to know that, and as soon as it happens he goes back to his shaky displays. Not reliable, not good enough, cant kick, doesnt command his area, a poor poor keeper. It would be a massive error to keep this guy, thankfully I cant see that happening.
-
he is a good shot stopper i will not deny that, but that is was should be expected of any keeper as that is like saying a defender can head it well; it is a given.
He just cannot be relied upon to do the rest - his kicking is poor, he is prone to dodgy handling, :censored:-ups with hazell are always liable to occur, he rarely commands his area.
Granted we wre a league 1 club and are not going to get Luigi Buffon et al, but i'd hope we could get a keeper who is competent in all areas except one of those above, that would be acceptable.
I just don't feel ever comfortable with him in nets and i can sense that our defenders don't know what he is going to do half the time neither.
Yes he has improved but as a number one he is not for me, useful for backup but not as a number 1 long-term.
Hazell is a liability for us in defence - can head a ball and that's it. This season has shown up his lack of pace with him being outpaced many a time having been given a 10 yard headstart, always cocks up once a game at least, attempts to pass like Pique every time he has the ball and gives it away with aimless long punts to no one instead of keeping it simple and is now prone to a number of injuries.
Tarky, Mvoto and another mid 20's defender for me next year with another early 20's as back up giving us 4 CB's - there ARE better out there than Hazell - Tarky has shown that himself and I feel 10x happier with him and Jean in there these past few games, much more solid.
We will see what Dickov thinks in May, but if he has any managerial nous and promotion/success ambitions in the next 2-3 years then he must know that Hazell and Brill will not give us that, no matter how honest blokes they may be.
All about opinions though, eh.
You saved me writing all that, I totally agree. Have people forgotten the heart attack moments when the opposition get a free kick? Or the one on ones? I know we are a league 1 club but we have had many many better keepers than this guy. Bye bye notso, a good attitude doesn’t mean a contract is coming. At least I hope not!
Hazell has been a good servant but I’m afraid his time is now up. Would have kept him if we went down, if we could have agreed a low enough wage that is.

Damn I was hoping it wasn't real
You can look through the we are latics reveal site now via the facebbok page. It goes through the design process, personally I am prob gonna be in the minority here but I like!
-
So, do you reckon a hoody is gonna happen?
-
No, I am moaning about something, how badly it has been handled. The email I received was a joke and this has been handled badly. Not moaning that I haven’t got the ticket in and it’s all a big scam, as the time has not passed yet, the game is still to come, so you misinterpret my complaint.
I do think I will get my ticket. Like I said, I am not a moaner, the club is really looking forward at the mo, on the pitch and off the pitch with the town centre shop and other marketing there has been improvement.
-
After sigining up and emailing I received a (slow) reply. Then I had a second email asking for my info, which I had sent in my first email, in fact the answer to his question was in the thread of emails if he would haved have scolled down to remind himself. I replied to that email, and all has gone quiet.
FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE GAME IS ON TUESDAY LATICS!!!!
I have never come on here moaning before, but this has really annoyed me. I was goona go to this game before the promotion as a paying customer. However after this shambles if I dont get my free ticket then I wont go at all.
Moan mode off, hate moaning.

Me like! Not sure what colour would be good tho. White is a no no, cheaporama.
Really like the text that way round too personally.

Ive got one that is about five years old, got it when I was a fatty, now Im not it looks appalling, like a tent. So yeah, I want a new one. I like the zip style, darker blue would be nice, maybe a little subtle tangerine trim too. Dont like the badge on there.
-
PALMER.
This is the one to be produced.
Are you happy with the type style and is the number the one you want?
I like.
One question, are they a skinny fit type of shirt? Just so I know what size to get.
-
I voted Palmer, but surely there has to be a Pogs and Shez shirt at some point too? Oh, I wanna see an Allott one too. But I might be in the minority there...
Dont get the Carlo one at all, unless you only ever saw him play against Wrexham. Ha! Lovin the design though.
Maybe you could just do plain shirts and we'd then have the numbers/names put on the shop. Just a plain font, not the football league ones.
-
No, it's Morais and Burns, who apparently now have the shirt numbers that the French lads had (worked out by
ClouseauCrusoe, in Live Chat). And other sites are listing yesterdays squad to include the departed players! FAIL
So, Burns is No. 38, what number did Winchester wear?
-
I've signed up for this too. Lucky really, I must have already joined every other betting site around already!
Sent the email to Billy, whoever he is. So I guess we just await further instruction now?
-
Exactly, and as he is the keeper he sees everything.
.....apart from the ball when it's coming at him from a freekick.
-
Agree with everything except that Kompany was woeful.
Agreed too.
Kompany on that performance looked appalling IMHO.
-
Firstly - Nothin wrong with KTF. Secondly - No-one has come up with a better one yet. No change required. Typin this on my phone, formatting may be messed up!

Buy one really expensive duffer ?

Hall of Shame
Jan Budtz
David Misskelly
Andy Goram (vs Cardiff)
Mark Arber
Wayne Gill
David Lee
Steve Whitehall
Dean Crowe
Further to this, yep I agree with Jordan Tait.
Another I thought of... David Reeves. Good on loan, gash when signed, really really bad.
I am sure there must be a whole host more from the early 2000's that my brain has erased.

If I won a significant amount I would donate in a way that wasn't a fleeting bit of cash, no use saying here, have x amount for transfers or wages. I would say here, take this and build a stand.
Have to have my name on though!
Bit of a pointless topic but does anyone have FIFA 12?

Def worth buyin, good game and when you do the squad update they have the right players with the correct numbers. EA dont always get us right!
New badge on the home kit isnt right, but forgivable. New defending system is trickier but more realistic.
