  1. I can scan the doc tomorrow night, I need to go round to a relative to do this sadly.

    The leafet is as follows.

Black/white/green piece of A4, folded in half, printed on on all 'four' sides, if you know what I mean. It urges you to put it up in your window as a show of your support for F.R.A.G.

Front sheet tells of contact info, back sheet says 'Boundary Park? Not in my Boundary!' (Lame and incorrect I know)

Inside it warns of the following issues - Noise, Litter, Crime, Parking, Traffic Congestion, Environmental Degeneration, Missue of Gifted Land, Higher Insurance Premiums, Drastic Devaluation of Property! (they put an exclamation mark after that one for some reason), Lack of Council Consultation and Pollution.

Some other blurb and cliche too.

  2. OK, I arrived home today to find a F.R.A.G. leaflet posted thought my door.

So, as an insider who does want the stadium here in Failsworth how do you guys reckon I can help our cause?

Any other Failsworthians on here receive this thing on their doormat?

Apologies if a thread on this has been started already, I came straight on here and posted.

    Jay

Oh, if anyone is intersted I can scan the damn thing.

  3. Any chance of you, and others like you, writing to the Chron, or better still the Council and your local Councillors in particular, to voice your support for the principle behind the regeneration proposal?

Another Failsworthian here, and I knew nothing about the meeting either. I reckon there could be a deceptively large amount of us here. I generally thought there was about three, but maybe there are about six of us!

We need to make our voice heard, just how many ppl on here are from FW?

  4. Who were you?

The game: Port Vale or someone like that at home. 2003.

    The place: Lookers Paddock.

The injury: Broken collar bone after toppling over trying to pick the ball up as it rested against the advertising board, causing the entire Lookers stand, players nearby and half the Chaddy to break out into spontanious fits of laughter. Then having the shame of being walked down the entire length of the touchline by the St. Johns Ambulance crew.

    I salute you!

    LOL, I distinctly remember this.

Did you used to work for a large fire and security company?

  5. Just one question:

What is the problem with the food over here? In my limited experience of sampling foreign food, there's very little difference. Maybe it's because I'm a gannet and trough food without actually tasting it, but I've had good food and poor food everywhere I've been. British food is no different. Any idea what they've been eating, Ste?

Good question. I like food from all around the world, ours isn't that bad. Having said that, I haven't tasted Hungarian Cuisine, so maybe it's just very different.

On this subject, I have just come back from Santorini and I have to say that the food was 50/50, good and dreadful! Good mixed grills, salads and Gyros though!

But back on topic, if we are interested in one or more of these players, what's the situation with signing them permanently?

  6. Today I've written what I hope fans will agree is a comprehensive introduction to coach Zsolt Szekely and his Hungarian players.

    Official Site Article

I hope to conduct another interview with Zsolt later in the season, and if anyone has any questions they would like me to put to him or the Development Squad players please post them up in here, or email me via the link below.

    See you at Bristol.

    Cheers,

    Ste

    Good article and vid monkey.

  7. Nah, keep posting.

You soon get the feel for what's real, conjecture, assumption and simply made up.

Most will have taken your original post on this thread at face value. I certainly did.

Wonder if that fee included the VAT?

Yeah, I reckon so, this is what angered me the most, if we had waited until January it would have gone back up to 17.5%

  8. I was listening but never heard the interview, I listen all day everyday, unless it happened when I wan't behind the wheel, did hear a rumour though, nothing to do with us but Sodje is expected to sign a 4 year deal for Leeds. As for the interview I must have doing something else other than driving or sat waiting to tip for 6 hours

Coming back to this thread just to have a nose round. Didn’t think it would cause this much controversy.

First of all, check my previous posts, I am not one of these 'I have a sauce' posters. I was just posting what I heard with my own ears on the radio on the way home from the gym. Look at the time of my post. I go to the gym after work, I often leave when I am kicked out, the gym closes at ten, I then have to drive home. Sometimes I gym at Oldham JJB, sometimes I gym at Blackburn (I work near Blackburn and gym there with a mate). On this occasion I gymmed at Blackburn, so it was prob about 10:20 ish that I heard this interview. So if you would like to contact Talksport then please do.

I resent the suggestion that I made this up. I am not that kind of poster, jeez, I was sharing what I heard FFS.

Times like this remind why I read this forum every day, but rarely post. Maybe I will fade back into the background...

  9. Fair enough wasn't trying to be nasty just having a laugh. I think the one thing we all got on here is that we hope city fall flat on there ass  just strikes me as strange that you support a team and have no feeling for the town, like i have no feelings for rochdale hence i wouldn't support rochdale <_<

No probs mate, I know you were jokin.. Just don't like City. I come from a family of City and Man U, with me being the only Latics fan, well one of my Dad's cousins is a fan too, but that's a kinda distant relative. I just picked Oldham as a kid and consigned myself to a life of misery... But wouldn't have it any other way!

I think we really need this move to work out, it's really sad looking across the pitch at where the Lookers used to be and yet still see three barely populated stands, sitting in silence, apart from some moaners. We somehow need to wake our club up.

  10. So have you got your man city season ticket then with you being such a hardcore manc my friend, just curious seems as though your from manchester and all that i suppose you won't want to support a bunch of pie heads from oldham  oh wait your on an oldham forum board how silly of me

Oldham's my team, but I have no feeling for the town. I have mucho feelings for Man City, bad ones! So please don't even suggest that I should follow them!

Gonna be bad times, seeing them rise to the top (or near it anyway) now that they are super rich. Hope they fail.

  11. Your profile says you live in some place called "Manchester" but Failsworth is not in Manchester, so how does that work?

You got 2 homes or summat?

Simply a case of most of us Failsworthians consider ourselves Mancs living in Manchester, whether its correct or not, that's our perogative.

But thats an old and boring debate. We are all here cos we are Dons fans.

    Up the Dons!

    ;)
