Another two....
Heroes, eveyone of you.

That was the cover story to deflect the finger of suspicion from the sprinkler button.
Let's see how Uri Geller gets Israel to beat Russia.
Even bending spoons won't dig us out of this one!
-
I ask you and your fellow Scotland lovers to cast your minds back to Euro '96. Picture the scene - Scotland awarded a penalty and Gary McAllister puts the ball on the spot. He starts his run-up and both he and David Seaman notice the ball start to roll. A distracted McAllister his the ball, Seaman saves and England go down to the other end of the pitch, where Gazza scores that never-to-be-forgotten goal.
I like to think that the Wembley groundsman, tweaking the under-pitch sprinkler, got sweet revenge that day.
I thought Uri Geller in a helicopter had taken the plaudits for that one?

Never did it at home games but I last got in as a kid at Peterborough on my 28th Birthday!
Ah, the old birthday challenge. Classic.

It's definitely a small stadium but they're not all little people - one has 'Big' as his first name, and the flags look large even when held near him.
I'll back that one up. He really is a large man.
Back with the Ultras thing. We don't want to get into the choreographed stuff. We're not Ice Hockey. Or in Korea. Of course, it would be better if it was one big party behind the goal every week, but it needs all the singers etc to sit in one group as they do Away. Tricky, with punters spread all over the ground. Perhaps they could test it out, if we get a home cup draw - try to gather the noisy chaps together.

I kind of see is being "told" what to sing/clap along to after a goal. I prefer to hear the punters going mental. However, when we're away and the other lot score, it does feel like they're taunting you with it (think about every time Vale score past us as that dump of a ground). Maybe just stick it on in the away section to pee 'em off and leave us with the crowd noise.

Well Why then isnt the Darlington Leeds tie on the football league website list of fixtures???
Good spot......
-
Lets hope somebody is working at the FA before the draw is made tomorrow then!
Someone competant. Hold on, it's the FA isn't it?
-
That's some knowledge Diego.
I'd be delighted if you took them out
You'd not be the only one.
These Leeds fans who think the world is against them (and choose to ignore the part where Bates tried to cancel 99% of the debt and, effectivly, cheat the rest of us) would probably lose it altogether. They still think they'll get the 15 points back.
-
After having more at Stanley than they did themselves, I suspect you're right about that!
Some clubs must lose loads of money on this comp. Crap attendances etc.
-
Total crackers. We're more accessible to teams in the North West of the draw than the East and vice versa. I thought they wanted to make this thing a success (stop laughing) but travelling for some Tin Pot game to Grimsby on a Tuesday isn't that appealling really or as has been pointed out so many times financially viable either. You don't make any cash till the final so why not lose some more on the way eh? Same for Carlisle who could be faced with a trip to Port Vale etc.
Excellent planning, bravo.
The likes of Rochdale / Stockport probably think the same - would have been hoping for a good away following....
-
They've clearly classed us in the "Yorkshire" segment of the draw, the swines.
-
keep the faith gents, keep the faith.

For good or bad , right or wrong Hughes is a 20+ a season man.
This is also true. May need a month to get the sharpness back. Think we will need another backup striker - maybe a young lad on loan from Championship/Prem. Or an SPL reject from Motherwell.
-
if the club gives porter what he wants ,there is no guarantee he will deliver the goods and score goals ,i say give him the boot and go to motherwell
Always wanted a 20+ goal a season man - never in a million years thought it would be him. Not sure he can do it again.
-
Agreed there. This needs to be lesson learned for TTA. Forget about him, let him enjoy the SPL and the odd big match v the Old Firm (assuming, of course, he stays fit for that long) and let's find someone else. He's not bigger than this team, despite what his agent might say.

Will there be some king of leaflety handout type affair we can distribute en-route/in the pubs before hand/the ground? If someone can knock one up and send out as a Word doc or something, punters turning up can run off a load on the offics photo copiers tomorrow....
