Had chances, didn’t take them. Struggling team complete a smash and grab. A tale as old as time and not an Oldham exclusive.
Thought we looked better football wise when Fondop went off as players didn’t just look to hit it long.
As Mellon says even after a good win “there’s still work to do”.
Other results very favourable.
Disagree with the smash and grab.
Woking earned that win and were simply better than us.
Agree with the favourable results.
Had the chance to go fourth.

Well played Woking.
Worked us out after the first minute.
Thought I would put a positive spin on it.

Unsure what the game plan is here. Don't think the players know what it is as well.
That is my take on it too.
They are playing the game we play when we play well when we don't have the ball. High, fast pressing. Harrass the opposition into a mistake then move forward.
For some reason, we have no midfield.
Lundstram and Sheron are playing too far up the pitch and conlon is too deep.
Need a link in the middle.

Just watched 17 minutes of Augsburg v Bayern.
VAR has interrupted the game for 10 mins.
So glad that we do not have it in the NL.
Having said that, the officiating in th BL is as bad as the NL.
Ref gave a pen for a handball 2 yards outside of the pen area.

"Stick."
"Awww stick again?"
"Well, what do yo expect? You have been gone for three months and no even a text message. The kids have to eat you know."
"I'm sorry honey. My pay has just gone in. I'll pop down to Terry Dee's and pick up something from their new Neanderthal range."
"OK. Oh, while you are out, can you call in at Radio Rentals and pick up a new TV? Ours shit itself two days after you left and the new season of Dinosty starts tonight"
That one??
Sorry, Australia day has been a long one.

Brilliant and very moving.

It's convict day today and a public holiday. It feels like Saturday so imagine my shock when I could not find any fixtures being streamed at 1am.
Reminded me of Monty's post, "just as the world's about to end, Latics get good"
I thought the world had ended.
Anyhoo, back on track.
6-1
Norwood 3
Dallas two late ones and Conlon with the other.
Mcgoo og for them.

The last time I went to York, Maurice Whittle scored a sublime free kick.

I don't think he'll play PL but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he got as high as L1, possibly even the championship. He's a good athlete, playing as a FB/WB has improved him on the ball. He looked solid as a very young player at CB. We haven't seen him at CB since the 21/22 season, to a certain extent we all need to reserve judgment.
Ah good old 21/22. Halcyon days.

Thats fair. He is contracted. If he comes good, I will face the tribunal, but I simply cannot see it. You have likened him to Tarky previously.
At the same stage of development, they are chalk and cheese.
There was always something about Tarky that oozed class whereas Sutton seems to need to be in class.
However @BP1960, i do recognise your admiration of him.
it's what we on here are all about. Opinions.
We are not always right and have to swallow our pride at times.
And, if he does improve and become the asset that you believe him to be, I will happily take it on the chin a la Kitching. If he is more suited to being a chippy, I will not gloat. I promise.

He struggles to control a football ???
He's probably one of the only players who it sticks to, now I know you could describe him as unorthodox but his ability to control a ball is not one of his weaknesses.
Where he does struggle is positionally, he can be a bit maverick almost headless chicken at times but when he's on it he's a terrific target man who puts his body on the line, you could also never question the mans passion or desire and he's a really important player in our squad.
This.
Hugely important.
I love him. The bell end.

I often wonder, as I read the comments on this board if we watch the same game as each other. Then I shrug my shoulders and remind myself; opinions.
However, for crying out loud, that has to be the most wtf post that I have read.
On Tuesday, particularly second half, we played as a team. Lundstram and Conlon complemented each other.
They worked well both together and individually.
Early in the first half, Conlon was caught in possession on the edge of the box. But for Hogan, Barnet would have been in front.
Today, everyone was caught in posession. We were shocking as a whole (not individually) with or without the ball.
We play well as a team, we play shit as a team.
At least we are consistent.
