4 hours ago, U.S. Blues said:
He is somewhere between our most talented player and the worst player to ever grace a pitch. Got it.
I think the problem is that he is both of these virtually every match. I can't honestly remember such a Jekyll and Hyde player at the club. In any 5 minutes of a match he can tear the opposition apart or equally his own team. One thing for sure is he cannot be trusted in a any kind of defensive role but has moments of sheer brilliance going forward with the ball.

Jesus. They have gone goal crazy! Must be so nice to see your team score.

thank you for taking the trouble to get the info that you have posted Underdog.

Would I be right in thinking that money generated from the the boards is going to a company called "Led Media" that Simon Corney owns outright and NOT OAFC?
-
I don't think it is likely he can keep us up up but to be frank I am not sure anybody can. I think this is a worse squad than last year and there is no time to settle the team with the amount of new faces needed.

Win is there for the taking.
Just a goal....
You had it bang on there Singe.

Interesting comment from Steve Evans about why he did not take the Oldham job and Simon Corney. He says he still speaks to him 3 or 4 times a week. you can pick it up from NewsNow.

It's not nice to see them doing OK. It would be nice to see them bottom of the table after losing all their games 8-0...
why???

Probably be too knackred after tonight
Probably knackered too!

I think Winchester will be back in on Saturday.

I would love to ask the following: "If I buy the club what do I get for my money". It would mean he would actually be having to answer many questions people have mentioned. Unfortunately I can't afford it.

After being a quiet watcher on this forum for a few months I can tell you're the sort of person who will argue black is white and refuse to acknowledge anyone else as having a valid point unless it agrees with yours. Probably a fan of Dunn too
Yes. There are a few like that knocking about this forum unfortunately. Shame really as there is some interesting genuine debate often ruined by it.

Wouldn't he be emasculated put in that position?
10 out of 10 for grammer correction.

I think it is likely that something along these lines will happen to Dunn. Maybe not sacked but undermined by enforced changes. Possibly a director of football brought in or another coach or a new assistant manager.
Not sure how Dunn would react to being de-masculated though.
-
By having all his backroom team binned off from under him, presumably in an attempt to make him walk. Then being told immediately after the Liverpool win that he was going to be sacked anyway. Then being kept around for a few weeks to save face, then being sacked before the Everton game.

No mention of injury. In fact no mention full stop. Not even playing in the Lancashire Senior Cup Tie which saw all other fringe players in the line up.

Brendan Rodgers is keen for the youngster to get some valuable first-team experience and Oldham could offer him it down in League 1. He’s highly rated at Anfield, with many believing he has massive potential – hence why the Reds aren’t planning on letting him leave permanently.
But, with the right-back’s first-team chances limited for Liverpool at the moment, they are keen to send him out to a club that can play him regularly. Oldham are keen on him and not only that but they are also managed by Darren Kelly, who is a firm friend of Reds gaffer Brendan Rodgers.

Geeeeeezzzz.....this, and several other threads of late have descended into previously semi reasonable people (admittedly some of whom regularly fall into the keyboard warrior bracket) becoming complete parodies of themselves in the fight to establish whose balls are bigger than whose. This is a complete and utter storm in a teacup, fuelling the mightier than thou typists into making fools of themselves on a scale bigger than Ben Hur. You :censored:ing wankers......let it drop and get on with being a Latics fan!!
never a truer word spoken.

I appreciate what you say and understand that others are in the same situation. However, if people do not come back we will have no money to add players in January, which may make the difference between playoffs or not. When we played Liverpool and Everton away from home, 6000 turned up for tickets, thus giving half their money to the Premiership big boys. The fact is our fan base is no longer able to sustain a Championship side and we will be condemned to L1/2 football.
I agree. The harsh reality is that if the gates and revenue do not increase quickly there will be no justification in continuing investment in the team or keeping it together. I do not understand how you can supposedly want and expect to have a successful Oldham Athletic football club but are not willing to help it. If you do not think it is value for money and do not come to matches or donate to player share then you cannot expect it to continue to exist for your own personal whims.

I've been chatting to a 'friend of Simon' at the station on they way back from the game. she was on her back "all the" way to London ..she said he was in for the long hail and was very pleased with progress . I told her to say thank you to Simon!

Mike Keegan is such a dick. Closet blue
The dick in this thread is not Mike Keegan.

1 - Jim bowie
All Time - Alan Groves (the most entertaining player to grace the club)
Present - Gary Harkins (shades of Groves)

It looks like Mellor is not even in the full squad.

Quote from Rovers rearguard.com:
"Oldham fans were quick to criticise Miller and were glad to see the back of him, but then again they had that opinion of Ollie Banks who was apparently also poor at Boundary Park, so that probably speaks volumes about their club and/or opinions of players more than the players themselves."
