  1. For me it's important we replace Hogan both as a player and Captain, he's failed miserably during the run in both as a player and as a leader and for us to improve we need to move him on as he offers little.
  2. Great post and well articulated, particularly on the back of some very strange team selections, Norwood coming back in and offering very little in comparison to the Garner/Fondop partnership which had seen us climb well in to the playoffs, I think that's 11 games winless with Norwood in the side after he scored 12 in Mellons first 15 games he's bagged one goal against Chesterfield in the only game you could arguably say he was up for, this on the back of Mellon claiming these are the games that your big players stand up and be counted, Norwood for me has been the biggest disappointment in his last 11 games and frankly not good enough, it does feel a bit fishy to me for sure.
  3. Yes but it takes 5 years to get everything back on an even footing.......
  4. If you've not seen Mellon post match he's effectively agreeing with 90% of what fans on here have been suggesting the past six months and that is 'YOU CAN'T POLISH A TURD".
  5. In his post match interview he's pretty much saying what we are, he's got 17 contracted players already which means he's got about 7 places to fill if he releases anyone not under contract which he really has to do. I'd imagine anyone who wants a move will be able to move on and that might provide a bit of room for bringing more in but as we know from previous seasons many of those deemed surplus will probably just be happy to sit on the money for another twelve months. The more you look at the damage Royle and Unsworth made it makes you wonder why only Unsworth lost his job because it's a huge mess that's probably going to take another season to sort out. I'll see how the summer goes before committing anything towards next season, it is truly is soul destroying watching that week in week out at the minute and I fear next season will be much the same.
  6. Entitled??? This season is the first in 15 that we've won more than we've lost and we are likely to finish around 10th in the fifth division. Entitled is your West Ham fans wanting Moyes out less than a season after winning a European Trophy not fans who've seen absolutely fuck all for 30 years and are the least successful professional club in the land.

  8. Your putting forward a man who thinks McGahey is the answer
  9. 1100 crowd, over 700 Latics and they just couldn't be arsed.

  11. As they chant from the stands 'You're not fit to wear the shirt'......
  12. Can go for me the way he's set us up today, have we even had a shot yet? Shocking tactics when a win is needed.
  13. What an embarrassment this team has become, careful though they are all husbands and fathers. They gave up weeks ago and this performance just reaffirms that. Mellon and anyone out of contract can go for me because regardless of what backing he gets the mindset is all wrong and that starts at the top. They are actually worse than under Unsworth.
  14. Lazy recruitment, like most things on the football side from players to staff they think it's just gonna fall in to their laps and with that mindset it isn't.
  15. Corney was a self serving cunt who managed to find an owner for us who was within a whisker of taking us out of business, I'd give him credit for absolutely fuck all and shrewd would be one of the last words I'd use to describe him.
  16. I know they are 19 points ahead so probably not much but they will roll over tomorrow guaranteed, happy if they don't but Halifax will piss that game tomorrow.
  17. Fucking hell let's all jack it in then and sit there in silence at home games in case we upset someones dad or husband, never read so much tosh in all my life, maybe you should go watch crown green bowls or similar. I'm not for booing myself, I've normally fucked off by fulltime this season but I've every sympathy for someone whose paid out another hundred or two hundred quid to follow this shower around and have to suffer what's been served up, more than entitled to have an opinion for me despite what's going on in the rest of the world.
  18. Barnet will roll over and let Halifax win tomorrow, they are nailed on top three and will fancy anyone other than us at their place and Halifax winning tomorrow near on finishes us off.
  19. Worked for Chesterfield who've looked very shaky defensively to me but are happy to play two at the back in possession rather than our usual five.
  20. I don't like the way Cook sets his team up either but you couldn't argue about what he's done with a squad containing not many more than 20 players. As for Parkinson at Alty, he's been pretty well backed this season and I've been told it's not specifically him behind their upturn in form but his backroom staff, that may be total bollocks and I could be doing him an injustice but I do like the way they move the ball up the pitch and try to play despite having a potato field for a pitch.
  21. Not disagreeing with that at all, still he had his best game for us that day and wasn't even in the matchday 16 after despite travelling which was just weird.
  22. I see Norwood took in the Morecambe v Crewe game last night, personally I don't give a fuck what the players do in their own time. Scenes when he signs for The Shrimpers in Piergianni style in a couple of months. Saying that we've not won in ten with him in the team so the conspiracy theorists amongst us may think it's all part of the plan, still not sure why he looks so happy maybe it's the sea air that's cheered him up.
