Recent history sees Millwall in the Championship, with a ground capacity of 20,000. I doubt their FA Cup Final loss was planned, nor has it been too successful for them as it turned out! Of course a cup run has long been seen as a good revenue boost, if it makes me unambitious that I don't think it is realistic Oldham should be aiming for Europe through cup competitions then I'm guilty as charged.
It was late last night so maybe not Crewe but the point is we are not disimiliar to the position of so many clubs in this League. I don't remember reading of anyone being content with staying in the bottom of league one as you keep posting. There are a few steps in between our current situtation and Europe, my ambitions are to build an established and stable club, who play attractive football. Yes this means playing at a higher level, by buying players with ambition as we have seen, if you don't achieve, they don't stick around! This will happen any league you're in, which is why having a core of established and loyal players is important. We are building now, albeit slowly but with off the field developments picking up pace, the current ambition is satisfying my way of thinking.
