    Carrick was very average? Jesus.

Yes. Another opinion that the Yernited loving pundits have hammered down our throats for the past 10 years to the point that it has now become conventional wisdom. I’ve watched Carrick enough with my own eyes and he’s never stood out as anything other than bang average.

No, they haven't.  The most prestigious competitions are won by teams managed by top class managers who are capable of spotting, and dropping 'poor footballers'.

Wes Brown, Nani, Anderson, Carrick etc all have multiple PL winners’ medals and a 2008 CL winners’ medal from their time spent at United. They’re all very average footballers.

    His what?

Last time I looked it was a team game. He's got the odd medal.

Being part of a successful team doesn’t make you a world class individual. Plenty of poor footballers have won the most prestigious competitions.

He was a good player who won more trophies, and earned more money, than any of us could dream of but I still stand by my opinion. He was never on that elite level. I’ll accept I’m in the minority who doesn’t rate him as one of England’s best ever and agree to disagree.

  4. The Yernited love in if Scholes got the gig would be nauseating to say the least. Don’t think I could *bear it.

Also not having that he was world class, overrated player who got better in retirement. Shouldn’t be spoken about in the same breath as Gerrard and Lampard.

Doncaster are in some form. Had more chance of beating Fulham than we do beating these, especially when it's at their place.

Like I said, we've had the day out but still slightly soured. There will be about 600 away fans and a routine 2-0 home win. Let's focus on the league.

  6. Fulham are know for being very strict on drunken entry. This will obviously be very hard to police given that pretty much everyone in the away end will have been on the lash all morning but it's probably best to stay muted until you're inside.

They also regularly have drug and pyro sniffer dogs on the away turnstiles. Whether such invasive measures will be employed for a cup game against a fourth tier side I'm unsure but it definitely consistently happens for their league games. Obviously none of our fans would ever partake in any illegal activities so I'm not even sure why I'm sharing this....

Sorry for the depressing post but I'd hate to see any fellow blues get themselves into bother because of a moment of stupidity, stay vigilant people.

    It's gonna be a memorable day 💙

Of late, he has been my favourite player to watch. Very unspectacular and appears nonchalant but with the exception of Lydon and Maouche, he reads the game better than any of the current squad.

Personally, i think our recent upturn has been down to players actually catching up to the likes of COG in the way he thinks.. Maouche in particular is blossoming. His game is expanding at a rapid rate; so much so that he is often starting moves in defence and getting on the end of the final ball in the oppos six yard box. When he irons out his finishing, he will be a 10 goal a season player

By and large, it is COG who creates that space to afford Maouche the luxury of being the furthest player forward.

Players are starting to trust each other.

It is making a huge difference.

If there is one benefit to iIfollow it is that it allows nerds like me to replay the games and study the players' efforts.

I get exhausred just watching COGs workrate. He must be completely knackered at the final whistle.

For the life of me, i still cannot explain Carlisle!

Great post. He’s a very intelligent footballer.
