  1. If the police use there noggings they could start sending these "big hostile away fans" to the clayton and the rifle range before the match and then after the match the could shepard (for want of a better phrase)the fans back in that direction thus keeping the two sets of unruly alcohol abusing bother boys away from each other.

  2. Once the inevitable moaning had been done and a few stay aways had found a new excuse not to fork over their hard earned cash, the regulars will of stayed, I don't think many Failsworth locals would be attending until there is cheap tickets on offer.

BP would of been turned in to nice lovely houses 3 bed, 4 bed ideally located to the motorway for those who work out of town, The TTA will of made there mint and sold the club to who ever was interested.

    After that who knows...

    promotion? relegation? administration?

  3. Higdon is just what we need strong, experienced and has decent goal scoring record (Derbyshire springs to mind) if it's just until Cassidy is fit.. Fine! If there's a chance of something more longterm.. Even better!

The fact Sheff Utd fans don't rate him doesn't concern me, he was never going to be anything but a bit part player there.

Heard the Ricardo Fuller rumour earlier not sure what to make of that.

  4. As long as the rugby clubs rent reflected the increase in pitch maintenance costs I don't see it being a problem.

If a deal could be agreed it would make sense to have the facilities available 52 weeks a year.

The only problem I can see is that the ground is possibly too big for the rugby club as it is now and fans could be easily housed in the North and main stands which has capacity for around 5000, If they were happy with that then I say go for it.

Come to think of it with the way things are going at present that capacity could be enough for the football club as well!!

    This this and this

  5. I refer you to my previous post. Dont go take up boxing or something like that if you want a day out fighting because people who are doing that are not Oldham fans.

As much as I see where you are coming from, boxing and MMA don't really offer the same environment as being "a lad" at the footy.. In most cases there a lot of beer and drugs involved also there's the sense of security that being with your mates offers, at the end of the day young lads and even some grown men treat this behaviour as a hobby, blowing a little steam off, something they can do at weekend and return to the normal lives the minute it's over with...

whilst you might not agree with it that's the mentality of it.. Taking up boxing, MMA or even joining the army and fighting for the county requires a lot more commitment.

  6. I can just imagine the telephone conversation now

Ring ring ring.. Ring ring ring

BO "hello Simon, it's me again, err I've been on OWTB and err the fans..."

SC interrupts "what do they want this time.. A striker who can score 20 goals a season? Cheaper season tickets? For us to meet our deadlines for the new stand?"

BO "no Simon, they want a drone like Barnsley have"

    KBNcZ.gif

BO "Simon? Simon? Err shall I tell them no?"
