You make that sound like bad thing..

It would be if we have a game in the next day or so. The whole set up is built round Unsworth. Not as easy to replace the whole thing quickly. 4 games in 2 weeks, not ideal to be changing it then. Makes me think he's got those games to save himself.

Frank's not made millions by making hasty decisions on things and sorting replacements is one of the things to consider. He could have gone in December and instead they backed him with Nutall. Makes me think he'll get more time.

  2. Pete Wild isn't daft. His career is on an upward projection at the moment. Maybe when he fails somewhere he'll consider us / we get back up the leagues.

Unsworth to stay for now. He goes we could well lose all the coaching staff. We can't do that in the current run of games.

    That's a preposterous take.

The opposition had a goal or two's start for more than half the season due to his constantly kicking/heading the ball to them and his constant calamitous defending.

The points he directly, single handedly cost us were the difference between staying up and going down - assuming his replacement wouldn't have been as bad, which he wouldn't have been as that's impossible.

Spot on. He was heroic for a spell but the damage was done.

Who started that rumour? If it was Ibby then I'm taking it with a pinch of salt.

There are other people who often appear in the know, but most of them said we were signing Colclough. Their success rate is probably better than 50:50 though.

To be fair to those who said we had got Colclough, we had agreed a fee and wages. The owner pulled it last minute due to his character/ recent bellend behaviour.

He has played over 200 games but his career to date has gone from the playing  Championship football down through the leagues to where he is now.

I suppose that was what I meant with the comment ‘he’s probably past his best’’  👍

Just don't think he's fit enough. That may be down to him. Hopefully Clarke can have an influence on him. Talent is clearly there.

I certainly wouldn't accuse him of deliberately being sent off. But him uncharacteristically getting sent off, and ultimately missing 3 games which saw us relegated, and then signing for the club that stayed up at our expense, certainly sent some alarm bells ringing for me...

And he was practically assisting for the opposition until around November/December. A few months of fist pumping, playing well and doing his job and people make out like he was Vidic last season.

    Proper plodding binman.

He’s a decent footballer at this level when fully fit but, and he would probably admit it, is now past his best.

He's 27 i think. Unsworth mentions fitness and even pre season for next season as being key. If he sticks to slimming world and the physios get him on track he'll play when 100%.

Dan Gardner is a good player for this level but hasn't been fit at all since he signed. If you're not fit you're going to be off it whoever you are.

    And he’s still shit!!!

    In your opinion.

Looking at their careers he's a far better player than Maynard and Hogan. I'd dread to think how shit those 2 would look in the league 1&2 week in week out.

We're in a lower level, McGahey will look decent at this level compared to last year.

Look at Hope when he started the season, excellent. He's either become a better player or it's easier in a shitter league. Not rocket science as he was crap last season as well.

You must be watching a different player, he has the turning circle of an ocean liner…IMO he’s an absolutely terrible footballer!!

Over 200 games in league 1 and 2. He's a good centre half for this level. We've had the likes of Sheron and Maynard back there this season.

He's had a higher level career than Hogan.

He's far better than what we have got, but I agree it's a big risk considering his most recent misdemeanor. There are better long term prospects out there from what I've seen though for less money.

If he was far better than what we have he'd not be playing in non league again next season, which he will now.

I can't see principles having played a part if we've spoken to him.

At which point do you think the owner is involved? Given his recent operation he'll have not been round much. Scouts, Unsworth, D Royle and then Frank for the sign off is I guess how most transfers go.

"We've sorted a deal for this lad, good player but questions over him off the field Frank" is the sort of conversation that took place from what I'm told. Decision made that the clubs budget and firstly reputation was more important.

Lets face it he isn't even that good. Never heard of him before we were linked. 27 year old bellend playing non league. Next.

Really, or did he stumble upon it by accident?

Do you think he picks the team and formation at 2pm or works on it all week? He needs credit where it is due.

Do we have people so ignorant to what their eyes see that they won't at least adjust their opinion on things? Very Brexit.

  13. The idea that dropping Fondop was a disgrace earlier in his reign is laughable. The lad needed oxygen tanks to get into a trot passed 60 mins (still does actually) and i only recall him playing well in the glorious Wrexham home game.

Unsworth has done well recently. Worked a plan out for Notts County after a quick turnaround. Bit of luck we win that late. Worked out a very good plan for Dorking Working Mens.

You'd think Reid was the next Romario the way people reacted to Saturdays line up.
