Plenty being released next week. Farewell our Canadian dream. One or two I'd keep but those worrying about the clubs food bill can sleep well.

You might be right, but it's not always as simple as that at this level.
400 quid a week extra is much more tempting for a conference player.
A fair few in our squad aren't on £400 a week.

Lads, we've paused if not pulled our offer. He wanted to come, deal done. We've got a new way of thinking and halted the move. If he goes to Chesterfield or wherever it's because we've said no.
Onto the next binman prospect we go.....

Remember the uproar when the previous owner interfered in transfers...
At least it's for the right reasons, if only Corney did the same with evans

He's been to talk to, and had an offer from both clubs. Decision with the player now I think.
Incorrect.

I told you lads Colclough was a done deal weeks ago and then Frank was asked to approve and found out about his character.....
-
Jordan Clarke came back into the side and we looked better for it. No idea why people want him gone, he's our best option at right back (not wing back as he's often been asked to play).

Was Baxter rehabilitated then?
I think we gave him a chance and he took it so yes

Work to convince Frank this can be a rehabilitation case like Jose Baxter rather than like signing a binman Joey Barton is the key to getting him.

There we go then, it's all BS.
As I've said Frank has halted or paused the deal. Not the sort he wants us associated with. The values of the club are now very much higher and more important than previously.

So people can’t mature no?
Many more before this one as well.

You’d think he’d know all about that as soon as we expressed an interest. Everybody else did.
We're not all lower league / non league perverts. I don't expect Frank to have a knowledge of all the binmen our scouts are looking at.

He’s actually not according to Alty fans
Quick google will tell you he is

You'd think so. Parkinson was telling people on Monday he was off to Oldham the following day. "He" being Colclough, not Parkinson...
Frank may well have been talked round on it. Perhaps even spoken to the lad himself but this seems to have been the delay. He sounds a right weapon this lad.

Any update on Coleclough?
I believe the issue on this move is related to Frank not being happy with the lads character/past incidents. Quite rightly he's thinking of the clubs rep and also the risk on him messing up when we have shelled out a decent fee.
-
We've a squad littered with shite players and lads who physically cannot play anymore. Why are we moaning/shocked that the Royles and the manager have seen this and want to get better players? Quality strikers are a must and in a week we may have more than one. Fondop, Luamba and Porter are not the answer for different reasons unfortunately.

The only thing I could think of was that he pulled up during half time when the rest of the staff were in the dressing room and didn't tell anyone for fear of being seen as Ronaldo like for refusing to come on. Surely someone must have clocked this though.
He didn't tell.Shez about an injury last season and played on it. He then was out for the rest of the season and we went down having played without a striker. His brain isn't exactly his main attribute.

Smith would have got on the end of many of the crosses I’ve seen fly wastefully across the box this season. I kind of agree with Unsworth though regarding being held to ransom with wages etc
How many players do we need who can't run? Hogan, Clarke, Gardner, Rooney and then add Smith as well?

I was told Smith could barely run when he came off the bench for Salford the other week. He's no miss.
In terms of squad numbers we've got a B team structure in place so training won't be a massive issue. The issue is the finances and that's something the board think they can swallow between now and the summer. We can't not improve the side in fear of upsetting some of the binmen we've accidentally signed. Who cares if Windass is not happy he's not on the bench?

He signed one of these midfielders last week, didn't he...?
Not sure he's the one to be shielding and winning the ball back? We've too many players so it may be a case of playing Cooper, Maynard and Sheron and seeing who is the best of a bad bunch?

What we have are a few people who have periodically had a few bursts of scoring that gives them a 1 in 4 record . We need at least 1 player with a 1 in 2 record . Agree about the midfield and sure it is also a priority.
Jesus, is there many out there who are 1 in 2 at this level and attainable? We've a few in this squad who can score. If Fondop, Hope, Tollet and most importantly Rooney played in the right positions they'll score goals.
I'd personally have Rooney off Fondop with Hope and Tollet wide. Our 4 goalscoring threats all on the park and in the most forward positions.
Like many, i think the most vital area to look at are the two centre mids playing behind these 4. Need 1 in at least.

Clarkes legs going is a strange one given he was in the league 2 team of the year last season. Walsall fans may just not realise he's been slow as fuck for 5 years or more.
-
Our budget may be dependent on the Canadian world cup squad announcement

To me this money from the prem added to the EFL money, any tv monies, sponsorship etc kept us going in covid. Plus the EFL loan. I don't buy any idea that the owners put more than a few quid in once we went down to league two. I can fully imagine we were close to death given the drop in income. No way those helmets were going to shell out

Not sure on Porter but Lumaba, Stobbs, Windass, Leutwiler, Da Silva, Angol and J Clarke are gone.
