Thanks for this post. It is a well thought out and, to my mind, sensible view of the situation. It's nice to see positive reasoned arguments without the personal stuff on here. As this post shows, being positive doesn't necessarily mean that you agree with everything that has happened, but that you have a perspective that looks forward to things you can control, not back to those that you can't. Some hadn't coached anybody of any age professionally...

It strikes me that a big problem for some people regarding Darren Kelly is that he has so little playing experience at a decent level. He has good coaching badges and he isn't the first young former player to get an early chance at management. I will give him time and I hope the board do too. Joe Royle (although clearly a better player) got plenty of time. He needed it before he achieved success. There are plenty of others who have gone into management with little or no experience of playing at a high level. I'm not for a moment suggesting that DK will achieve what some of these have, but if he doesn't get a chance...
