Rather go down / out of business / reform as AFC Oldham and stand or fall by what we do as a club than be feeder club for any team.
We all remember great FACup days against City, Liverpool, Everton, Forest, Southampton , Arsenal ( and unfortunately South Shields), as well as a couple of promotions and relegations since the late 60's, but we all get our moment in the sun as "our team" and put up with mediocrity in the meantime.
Once that goes it's the end of the "92" club league for me.
Not just the cup- who can forget Roger's hat trick at main road with us happily singing 'city reject'

Hearing the club has been sold.
Don't know about that - but it does look like all you guys who shelled out for today were sold down the river

A quick Wiki search tells me he is one of 12 GKs at Liverpool over 16
Doesn't this speak volumes about the game today. Not just hovering up local talent but spending to bring it in from elsewhere. £250k to keep on the shelf for a couple of years.
How many of these lads would have been available for smaller sides in times past?

It isn't in doubt that Andrew is an unpleasant chap but I don't want to see us drop to his level with potentially serious consequences.
Three points for Oldham, chance to continue this half season's progress next year in this division- looking up not down- will do fine.
Killing off Dale's playoff chances and preventing Andrew getting a sizable pay rise in the championship will be a nice bonus.
Next 5 league games-how many points will we get??

Need to just enjoy the ride. Was looking at the form tables over the last 5 games this morning.
Of the top six we are still losing ground on all of them other than Bradford who picked up 7/15
Of the bottom seven Gillingham and Plymouth match us, Northampton are catching us 10/15
We aren't that far above the bottom 4- apart from Bury who need a Sheridan second half season - they all still look in with a shout
Perhaps the best thing the form table says is about the other guys in the top ten. we are catching them
3 pts more than Oxford, 2 more than Rotherham, 3 more than Fleetwood, 2 more than Portsmouth
Entertaining football, decent results should see us safe with top ten a possibility.
