I'm by no means a Gardner fan but to drop him wouldn't be the correct call. With Lyden in there though he has to be braver. Get into the box. Too often he was sat deep and we didn't have anyone on the box yesterday.

    Agree totally.

Before I get the stick from the Gardner is shit brigade, I’m not his biggest fan by some way but I give him credit for effort over 90 mins.

my issue with Gardner is that he needs to play and run with the ball in the opposition half rather than receiving square 5 yard passes from Clarke on the edge of our area

Let him drive and do fancy turns 30 years from their goal rather than ours, not rocket science

Do we have any directors to shout at?

Spot on, AL is an absolute disgrace, no CEO, who actually runs the club in his absence? Fair enough he doesn’t seem to do much when he’s here, but I looked over at the directors box yesterday and it was sparse.

Corney ripped the infrastructure to pieces to save money, AL is now demolishing the club thoroughly, he’s no idea and we are teetering towards the abyss and it breaks my heart

This frustrated me, albeit I understand and sympathise.

Carlisle themselves are struggling financially, as are Blackpool. I was hoping he could shield the players from it.

I agree singe but I’ve not heard that Blackpool or Carlisle payong players late, it’s happening too often with us not to have any impact on performance

Do you think for one minute that had the Fane incident been intentional,Byrne wouldn't have been sacked on the spot?

Gerrard was shown the door for far less. The lack of information tells us all we need to know.

Maybe Byrne is seen as an sellable asset and Gerrard clearly wasnt?

If it’s true that Byrne intentionally injured a team mate in training no club with a brain cell would touch him so we we’ve got a quandary on our hands, do we play arguably the most gifted player in our squad and then try and move him on when the opportunity arises or let him rot ?

At  present the only solution I see is a loan agreement but who would have him?

Iversen - quality couple of saves again no chance with either goal.

Hunt - better tonight. Needs to cross earlier

Graham - looked decent. Didn't do a bad job against miles better players

Edmundson - good game. Good in the air and deserved MOTM. If he does a run out of defence like that again after beating 2 players then goes full length of pitch and doesn't shoot I'll leather him lol

Hamer - quiet game. Didn't have loads to do

Nepo - another who needs to cross earlier or learn to swing his right foot at it

Coke - no idea what he did

Gardner - everywhere again. Good solid game

Branger - likes to get forward needs to cross earlier. Unlucky their keeper pulled off a great save

Benteke - not the best but I won't write him off yet. Maybe should have shot earlier but good save from Carson. Needs a boost of confidence

O'Grady - won a lot of headers. Touch let's him down at times.

Missile - loves a tackle. Not on long. Needs work on positioning

Baxter - will run a league 2 midfield or attack when fully fit. Beautiful volley. Touch and movement light years ahead of everyone else

Fair assessment  only thing I would say is that I do not rate Nepo, he gets ball and stops and goes backwards he never beats a man, he's the Curacao version of David batty

Defence was poor. Good performance from Iversen.

Obviously been watching a different game to me.

They are the best side we will play all season unless we get to 3rd round of FA cup.

Defended far better than against MK Dons against far superior opposition.

What do you expect?? They're a top 6 championship team, we are light years behind yet created a few half chances and kept our shape well, play that way against Macclesfield, Morecambe and Yeovil and we pick up points.

Get Branger on left wing and Lang on right play Baxter from start and give him 60 minutes and let's see how we do.
