Not ideal timing (leaving St Albans at about 19:00) but if you can get to St Albans station for then (give or take a few mins) and willing to chip in a fiver or so for petrol then you'd be welcome aboard my Fiesta (from that you should gather it's not going to be clocking up the ton up the M1). Like I say, I'm heading to Chadderton so would be best if you're heading there also so I can drop you locally (within reason). Bad news (for those wanting return journey), I'll be heading back down Saturday week (not bad news if a week in Oldham is what you're after).
