Ackey Posted March 13, 2009 Share Posted March 13, 2009 OWTB is saddened to learn of the death of Clifford Eckersley, a dedicated Latics fan, at the age of 79. Mr Eckersley, a former referee from Failsworth, had Latics in his blood. He had supported the club since the sixties and went to most of the Reserve games along with those of the First Team. Mr Eckersley's family feel like Latics were part of their family, he cared for the club so dearly and the thoughts of everyone here at OWTB are with them at this difficult time. May he Rest In Peace.
