There was no guarantee that getting Joe in would turn it around this season, there is no guarantee in anything. Just because a chance doesn't work out doesn't mean that you were wrong to take it. At the point the decision was made I know I felt as if we had finally reached the point where we weren't going to make it with Shez - so doing nothing wasn't going to help, at least maybe there was a chance of a change being beneficial.
