Running London Marathon in memory of Ernie Cooksey - Sponsor me ?

I have been lucky (?) enough to get a place in this years London Marathon which takes place next Sunday 26th April. I have decided to run in memory of Ernie Cooksey and to raise money for Factor50, an appeal that has been set up by Christie Hospital in Manchester to raise money to fund research into the type of skin cancer that Ernie had. There's no need for me to bang on about Ernie and what he did for Latics in the short time he played for us, it was all said at the time of his death by folk more eloquent than me.

 

I know times are financially hard for a lot of people at the moment, but if you are able to sponsor me to the tune of the price of a pie or pint that would be much appreciated, any amount however small will help. To sponsor me go to the Factor50 website at www.factor50.org.uk then click on the "Donate Online Now" button, which will take you to a page where you can enter your credit/debit card details (you also need to select "Ruth Travis runs London Marathon" from the list of Events even though it says this is optional).
