Vista Profiles

When my wife logged on this morning, her profile had been reset to default, she lost everything off her desktop, including all her settings. On checking the kids profiles as well they were the same, all reset. My profile was fine with everything still there. I went into each profile and restored all desktop wallpapers, settings, files etc, but when you log out it loses everything and resets to default? help please as the kids are not happy!

My problem is the top one, event ID 1511

 

But to resolve it, its says i need to do it on a domain controller? i'm not on a domain, its just this Home pc?

 

any help?
