Ketsbaia
53/4 against the might of Essex. Dismal. Just dismal. Can't we sign anyone who can bat?
Hometownclub
53/4 against the might of Essex. Dismal. Just dismal. Can't we sign anyone who can bat? Batting has been a problem for Lancs for quite a few years now, our batting bonus points totals have been woeful in recent years. We also lost Mal Loye this summer and he made a century for Northants yesterday as well. We were dealt a blow when Du Plessis was not allowed to sign this year, which has also weakened our batting line up. Moore has come and has done alright, but Horton and Smith have not made many runs at the top of ther order and Prince hasn't been great this season, if it wasn't for some good middle order batting from Croft and then some good knocks from Chapple and Mahmood we really would be struggling. LaticsLen
What actually happened with Du Plessis? because he's currently playing in the Lancashire league and i thought he did alright for Lancs.

He was signed by Lancs as a Kolpak player. Wikipedia Kolpak Players He was however not allowed to sign for Lancs as a Kolpak player this season due to changes in the Kolpak rules. OldhamSheridan
Might not be great, but that is still unbeaten. That's quite a while now. I expect the pitch (not this game speshully) will be a result pitch at OT. So high batting scores may not be the order of the day there. LaticsLen
Going great guns today against the Yorkies. 419/9 Dec with Tom Smith getting 100 and the Yorkies are 57/5 with Smith getting 3 of them.
