To have saved it, the keeper would have to be able to see it, which he couldn't. The TV angle doesn't do it justice as you cannot see the velocity of the ball I thought it looked better sat in the RRE than it does on the TV, but I do think the keeper could have saved it - it went straight him, admittedly the ball was struck powerfully and may have moved and even if he had got in the way of it, it may have took him into the net with the ball...
