Frankly Mr Shankly Posted August 14, 2012 Share Posted August 14, 2012 Delph & Dobcross finally brought Huddersfield League cricket's most coveted knockout trophy, the Sykes Cup, over to Lancashire after four attempts and 14 seasons of trying last night. Which meant of course I missed last nights Latics game, but it was well worth it. Hell of a run chase too, knocking off 275 on a huge pitch with 8 balls to spare. Rather fitting after halfway through the day on Sunday Delph were on the receiving end of belly laughs and jeers from throngs of beered up Yorkies who were cocksure the trophy was in the bag!
